You’re definitely more on the money. Some elements of the permanent make-up would be good especially if done right and make you look natural. Is the other disadvantages that would worry me. As Vanessa said, if even in Seattle a eye liner might raise eyebrows when you need to present yourself as male, imagine what permanent one would do to you when applying for that job.

Permanent make-up does sound nice in not having to worry about it all the time, but the convenience will surely have some unwanted side effects and I’ve been the victim of such looks even for a very slight touch-up ot even a full make-up.

I will use this topic for a comic strip I’m developing on the subject.

I find putting on makeup, other than just a touch of lipstick mostly a pain in the butt, so I would go for permanent makeup, provided it did not look unnatural. I would love to have a permanent beard concealer, for example, but permanent eyeliner, or blush would be a bit “over the top” so to speak.

No way I would ever get permanent makeup done, I just know that it’s not for me, even if I were female.

I did once read a story about a lady who went salsa dancing as soon as work ended every day, and didn’t want to bother taking the time out to do her makeup every day, so she went the permanent route.

I’m sure it has its benefits for some people, but I love the experience of making up my face and the endless possibilities.
