Unfortunately we can’t spend every day presenting as our feminine persona. Whether it’s work, family or friends we all have occasion dress as a man. If you’re like me, this can be immensely frustrating. When dressed as a man I feel as though I’m wearing a mask that hides my true self. Yet there are many ways to express your femininity without letting your inner girl run wild.

Last Week’s Crossdressing Poll

An Early Valentine’s Day Crossdressing Poll

For many men there are few holidays more dreaded than Valentine’s day. Between the prospect of spending the day alone for some, or forgetting and spending the day in the dog box for others one can almost lose the sweet romance. Yet perhaps because of all the Hallmark-hype love, togetherness and the tender touch of your soulmate are just the start. Gifts have become a staple of February 14th – flowers, chocolates, and perhaps even some sexy lingerie are all appropriate, expected or hoped for.

I usually start thinking about Valentine’s day the first week of February, but today my lovely wife surprised me and suggested that Valentine’s day would make for a great poll topic for Crossdresser Heaven. I wonder… do all woman start thinking about this holiday so early? Perhaps for the moment I’m still a man with the soul of a woman.

Do You Crossdress At Christmas?

The holidays are about to reach their climax – with friends and family travelling from all around to spend the season with those they love. Many of us have taken time off work, and days are spent selecting just the right gift, and wrapping it with love. During these busy times it might seem hard to find femme time. With family gatherings, holiday parties, gift shopping and decorating what’s a girl to do?

Personally I find that I crossdress about as much during the holidays as other times of the year, since I don’t typically take too many days off work. How about you?

Santa Doesn’t Keep You Crossdressing

In last week’s crossdressing poll you shared your experience with crossdressing Christmas gifts. Or as it turned out the lack of crossdressing gifts at Christmas time. 55% of you lovely ladies haven’t received a crossdressing themed Christmas gift from someone special because your loved one either doesn’t know or doesn’t approve of your crossdressing. If this is you, don’t despair. Acceptance takes time, communication and huge doses of love from both of you. In case you’re wondering whether it’s possible – 37% of the gorgeous readers of Crossdresser Heaven have received woman’s clothes or all manner of crossdressing finery.

Does Santa Keep You Crossdressing?

Hi ladies,

It’s been a busy last few weeks for me. Between Christmas shopping, decorating and trying to snag some downtime from some rough days at work I’ve missed you girls! Thanks to all of you who submitted your Crossdresser Success Stories (If you have one you’d like to share you can do so here) – they’ll start showing up on Crossdresser Heaven in the next few weeks.

I’d also like to thank all you wonderful ladies who sent me lovely emails about Crossdresser Heaven. You make my day! I’ve tried to respond to each of you personally, but if somehow I’ve missed you please know that I deeply appreciate your kind words.

Have you received a Crossdressing Christmas Gift?

I love giving Christmas gifts. My wife will sometimes chastise me for going overboard and pilling on presents and stocking stuffers and, well, just about anything I can find I think she’ll like. I love almost everything about Christmas – the gifts, lights, decorations even Christmas music is great – at least until 9pm on the 25th :)

Nearly every year my wife will surprise me with a crossdressing Christmas gift or two. Whether it’s jewelry, a cute article of clothing, or some special makeup I wouldn’t normally purchase for myself – my wife truly makes me feel special with these gifts. Far beyond the gift itself, her love and acceptance is wrapped up as well.  Just a few months ago I received a lovely surprise crossdressing gift from my wife.

We Are Tall Crossdressers

Last Crossdressing Poll I asked you how tall are you? Well dears, many of us grace the skies with our height – almost 40% of us are over 6′, and about the same as those of us who are under 5′9″ – the perfect passing height :)

It reminds me of an episode of Dr. Phil I was watching a few weeks ago. He had two very tall ladies on his show, one was a 6′7″ basketball player, and another was a 6′4″ athlete (I forget the sport). Both of them wore fabulous 3″ heels and looked absolutely stunning. The topic of discussion was whether parents should change characteristics of a child when they’re growing up (like given them more growth hormone to help them grow taller, or for girls – to make other changes so that they grow to a more normal height).

The consensus from the towering beauties was that they appreciated their height. The attitudes of their families, and then themselves to their height helped them achieve things other more minutely proportioned woman would have found very difficult. They didn’t shrink from the world because they were different – rather, they shone brightly because of it!

So whether you’re 5′7″ or 7′5″ – enjoy your height – it’s the only one you’ve got…

Crossdressing To New Heights

On an earlier post I mentioned that I prefer heels under 3″. This inspired a flurry of comments, and I know that many ladies in the crossdressing community prefer to reach higher heights. As I venture out more dressed as Vanessa I’ve begun to place a higher premium on comfort (of which my wife is considerably proud), something I find that starts getting sacrificed when the heel crests over 2″. I’m also a tall crossdresser, and higher heels make me look like a somewhat unfit WNBA player.

Are You A Tall Crossdresser?

The average female is 5′7″, and the average male is 5′9″. While there are many woman over 6″ – and I’m sure almost all of them are either sports stars or super models –  statistics place only 1 in 1000 woman over the 6″ mark. For this week’s crossdressing poll I’d love to know how tall you are without your heels. Is your height an asset when passing as a woman, or do you long legs make you wonder if you should try out for America’s Next Top Model?

Last Week’s Crossdressing Poll – We Are Thankful for Crossdressing

Thanksgiving is behind us and the festive season is upon us, and I must admit that as much as I love Thanksgiving I love the fact that it’s the gateway to Christmas almost as much :) . In last week’s poll I asked you, ‘Are you thankful for being a crossdresser?’ And if you are, what in particular are you thankful for? I was pleasantly surprised that almost all of you were thankful for some aspect of crossdressing – just 7% of you thought that crossdressing is just terrible, and there’s nothing to be thankful for. Truly we as a community are blessed to be at a point where the positives of our situation outshine the challenges and heartache.

We also appreciate different blessing of crossdressing. Whether it’s the beauty and makeup, or the understanding it brings, or who we’ve become on this journey. Thank you ladies for sharing the blessings – if you ever need a pick-me-up read through the stories of gratitude that others shared. Reading your comments brought a smile to my face, and helped me shake off any weariness from my transgender journey so far.

Are you thankful for crossdressing?

My mom always used to say, “If life hands you lemons, make lemonade.” At least I think it was my mom, or some other suitably sage adult who influenced my growing years. Here in the US we’re just a few days away from Thanksgiving. Apart from turkey, football (of the non-soccer variety) and the occasional family feud, Thanksgiving is a time I use to reflect on all the blessings I’ve been given in my life.

After just a few minutes I’m hard pressed not to weep with gratitude to my creator for all I’ve been given. A family who loves me, a good job during troubled times and the blessing of health. In fact, if you’re reading this right now you’re likely wealthier than 95% of all people in the world. (If you don’t believe me, take a moment to find out where you are on the global rich list). Truly a blessing, even though it’s almost entirely an accident of birth.

But speaking of accidents of birth… If you’re reading this you or your loved one are probably dealing with the mixed blessing of being a transgendered person. This can be a difficult struggle, but I can honestly say that I’m truly grateful for being transgendered. It has made me a better person. Do you consider being transgendered a blessing? Last Week’s Crossdressing Poll

Last week I asked if you could go back and change your birth gender, would you? It looks like most of you would choose to be born a girl. Though almost 30% of you were quite happy as a man, even if you occasionally don feminine attire. Truly we are blessed to be part of such a diverse community. Whether you’re a woman inside, on your way to becoming a woman outside as well, or happy dressing part time you are a unique and loved person.

I answered this poll with, “I don’t know”, though I was sorely tempted to exclaim how joyous it would be to be born my true gender. I couldn’t get past all the experiences I would miss out on being born a man, and how unpredictable my path as a woman would have been. Not least of which is meeting my beautiful wife, which would never have happened if I were born in my true gender.

We do LOVE our shoes!

Wow! Almost 600 of you responded to last week’s poll, where I asked you – what’s your favorite shoe style? Pumps won out by an overwhelming margin, with almost 200 of you declaring them your all time favorite. Way to look sexy in sky scraper heels ladies!

So in honor of the two top choices from last week’s crossdressing poll I’ll share a few sexy shoes from my favorite online shoe store, Zappos. They offer free shipping both ways, and have a great selection of large high heels. If you’re never bought high heels before here are three quick tips: start small (a heel under 2″ is great to start practicing), get a size larger than your men’s size (if you’re a men’s size 10, get a woman’s size 11), and go for a wide shoe (marked as W or D in the size).

This week’s crossdressing poll

The poll question for this week comes courtesy of my wife. We were indulging in a ‘what if’ conversation that I like to have about crossdressing. She asked me, ‘if by some miracle of Science you could go back and alter your birth gender, would you?’

Wow… I’ve been thinking about this question for the last few days, and I’m not sure I have a confident answer. I know there are so many experiences I would never have had as a woman – marrying my wife being top among them – but at the same time I have an almost overwhelmingly strong desire to be a woman. While I ponder my answer, what do you think?
