A World Without Google, Facebook or Crossdresser Heaven

Dear Readers of Crossdresser Heaven,

Many of you who visit Crossdresser Heaven today may notice something odd. Parts of the site appear blacked out, as if a malicious censor has wrested my freedom of speech from me and left me with nothing but the shallow unobjectionable message. I’ve done this to stand in solidarity with thousands of other websites across the Internet who are protesting the greatest threat to the Internet.

This threat comes in the form of two bills before the House and the Senate in the US Congress, called SOPA and PIPA. These bills would give anyone the power to shut down a website without due process or judicial review. If these were in effect ten years ago there would be no Google, no Facebook. There would be no YouTube and no Twitter.

Lovely ladies, if this bill was law there would be no Crossdresser Heaven. The many thousands of crossdressers and transgender women who have found encouragement and solace would be left alone and isolated. I urge you to stand up for the Internet and the freedom of speech it represents by calling your congressman and urging them not to support SOPA (in the House) or PIPA (in the Senate). Please share this with as many of your friends as you can.

You can learn more about these bills on this website or by watching the video below. Thank you for your time, and for helping to preserve not only this website, but the Internet for future generations.

Update: Google just released a site with more information about Internet censorship – this is a valuable resource for you.

Love and blessings,
Vanessa

A Word From Our Sponsors

Dear Readers,

I’m blessed to have sponsors who support Crossdresser Heaven. They help pay the web hosting and bandwidth bills so I can keep the site up and running. While I generally don’t talk about folks who advertise on the site, I wanted to make an exception for a great company who has been a sponsor of Crossdresser Heaven for many years, and recently began sponsoring my new website detailing my journey to womanhood, Transgender Heaven.

The Breastform Store

The Breast Form Store has been a part of the transgender community for almost two decades, and provides high quality breast forms, wigs and other necessities for crossdressers and transgender woman. I bought a few pairs of breast forms from them 2-3 years ago, back before nature (and estradiol) blessed me with my own pair. I’ve heard nothing but good things about them from others, so can only recommend them highly if you’re looking to enhance your crossdressing experience.

If you’d like to advertiser on Crossdresser Heaven, please send me an email: vanessalaw1@gmail.com with some details about your website, and I’ll get back to you with a list of the opportunities available.

Now, back to our regularly scheduled programming…

Crossdresser Heaven's new beginning

Crossdresser Heaven's new beginning

Dear Readers,

A few days ago I promised to continue maintaining Crossdresser Heaven, and posting valuable resources for crossdressers and those who love them. Even though I’ll be sharing more of my personal journey on transgenderheaven.com I’ve got two exciting changes to announce to Crossdresser Heaven.

The first change is to license all content on Crossdresser Heaven for anyone to use under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 license. This means that you’re free to share, reuse, mash up, take paragraphs and snippets and use how you please on your own website, in newsletters or anywhere else you’d like to. You only need to provide attribution to the original source (a link to www.crossdresserheaven.com for example). You can do this all without ever contacting me, though naturally I’d be interested to see where you use my content.

The second change is a refresh of the visual look and feel of Crossdresser Heaven. The site is now cleaner, faster and easier to navigate. Since this is brand new, please let me know if you have any issues with the site so I can take a look.

I can’t tell you how excited I am that I can now offer resources and advice with a sharper focus on crossdressers – a blessed set of folks within the broader transgender community.

With love,
Vanessa

Press the +1 button if you enjoy an article

If you have found Crossdresser Heaven to be of value to you, I have a small ask – please take a moment to click the ‘+1′ button on articles you enjoy. You’ll find +1 buttons next to the title of each article, as well as on the main Crossdresser Heaven page.

By doing this you’ll make it easier for others to find the resources on Crossdresser Heaven, and be doing a service to a sister who is lonely and looking for a safe place to find information.

Thank you for taking a few moments to click the +1 button – I appreciate your continued love and support.

Update: As you browse the web you’ll encounter all sorts of buttons, from +1, to Facebook Like, to Tweet and others. I encourage you to read this article on how to keep your secret identity secure from Facebook and if you are concerned with others finding out about your feminine identity please take the necessary precautions. This usually involves setting up a separate account in your feminine name for all the services you’ll use (gmail, Twitter, Facebook, …)

With blessings,
Vanessa
