I was fortunate enough to meet many wonderful ladies at Esprit this year, and perhaps by coincidence found that a good number of the transgendered woman I met were in the engineering field. This sparked a conversation that could only be of interest to engineers and statisticians about the distribution of transgender woman, whether the engineering field had a higher proportion of transgender woman, or perhaps the engineers we meet are self selected because engineering fields tend to be more tolerant.
This is where you come in, dear reader. I’d love to learn more about what you do for a living – perhaps there is a typical crossdresser occupation or perhaps (as I expect) the transgendered travel through all walks of life. Nonetheless it will be interesting to hear what the community on Crossdresser Heaven have to say about it all.
The only promise I can make is that this poll will reveal an “Internet Truth” – which is a piece of information believed to be true because it is published and shared by others on the Internet. The weight of the “Internet Truth’s” broad distribution compensates for any lack of substantiating evidence or flaws in scientific method.
Crossdressers, What Is Your Occupation?
[poll id="30"]

Retired Custodian
Firefighter…..construction worker part time.
I’m a Electronic tech. But the job does not make us what we are. It is the feeling that brings us to dress. I could be a cook or a bus driver or anything in all kinds of work you well find a cross dresser. Some with the same feeling as I have. It drives us into what we do.
Software developer. I agree with Tammy, I don’t think the occupation has much bearing on the crossdressing. Crossdressers can be anybody, anybody special that is.
Ind Arts teacher for 30 years …. car nut…. took Pre engineering …. former Architectural Draftsman….
Engineer and solar energy importer. trying to do my little bit for the planet, for our grandchildren.
Like Robin, a car nut having raced sportcars for many years, still enjoy the occasional burst.
Bull fighter and shuttle astronaut.
Well that would be cool, but Computer Systems Administrator. In comparison that seems so mundane…
I’m a Electrinic technition I’ve been doing this for forty two years. I’m 62 now and I feel like retireing soon but I don’t know if I can with the way the cost of living is. We need to get a goverment that well quit spending and help the people out . They need to take more mony from the rich to help us poor People out . That would stop the homeless around this country. But the way they tax us I just wonder how long it is before I go homeless. I had to give up my house and move into a apartment because it is so bad out there.
Anyway crossdressing is my hobby I bye my own clothes and I ware them as much as I can like today I have a white bra , blue panties , black skirt , blue heels and blue blouse. I’m dressed for the day. No make up no wig just the clothes. I feel good now.
I am a college professor and 90% of the time crossdresser.
I did not select "other' but thought I might since my background is so varied over the years. I started out of hight school in construction, then went into retail (sporting goods), next was car sales, then I became an appliance repairman, after 5 years, I was a distributor and Mfg's rep for sporting goods back to retail (furniture sales) then into real estate sales and marketing. Next was my own golf shop, became a gold pro. Now back into retail management in sporting goods. Hmmm? What next?
