If God is leading you in a direction towards ministry, please listen carefully to His voice and keep in mind that you could be on the very border of giving God's words of peace, love and joy to thousands of folks who might be wondering if God still loves them with an everlasting love. Continue through your column to give out those words of peace and reconciliation! I dont remember ever asking to be born transgenered and yet I have done everything that was ever asked of me and have lived a good and just life. How could the God of all be that dispasionate. LeeLee - I agree - God loves you as you are. You don't need to do or be anything for Him to love you. You don't need to change. So many in the church would have us change as a condition to being loved by God. So much so that it becomes almost a condition to being saved. Yet we fall back into the same trap Jesus' came to disarm for us. We can't earn our way in. Like Teena I heard a similar message today that spoke of how men of old used religious beliefs and laws to condemn those who were outside of their concepts of what is "of God" and what is not. The message also covered how God loves all men and that Jesus gave up His life to redeem. Like "men of old" there are many men and women today who embrace the love of God but draw the line at sharing His love and their own with folks who are of divergent races, political views, faiths and gender preferences. They will say and I will agree the God's Love is unconditional. It is we humans who have trouble separating our own prejudices and concepts of what is right and wrong from that all encompassing and unconditional love. So again I thank you for sharing your thoughts and for reminding me that although I may not find acceptance among members of my family, friends, Christian brothers and sisters, and others, God loves me!
