Teresa – That’s a good thought, I found a great wig at a beauty shop for less than half of what it would’ve cost online. I’m not quite sure why wigs are more expensive online. Perhaps I just don’t have enough knowledge about what makes a truly great and expensive wig. Though somehow I’m not sure you get that much more for $600 as you do for $100.

Allyson, I like your idea – perhaps we just feel odd about ourselves, because it’s odd to see ourselves with long hair. Like the way people will do a double take if you drastically change your hair style, or when men shave off their facial hair. Such a sudden and dramatic change. I have noticed though, that sometimes I can put on the wig and it just looks right. Natural. Other times it takes a lot of fiddling and fussing to get it to look right. I have to work hard to avoid the ‘beaver on the head’ look.
