So there’s a new feature on CDH called Local Chapters. It’s a offshoot of Project Unity, which is designed to foster and build our online community, and it allows members to form and participate in their own local online groups. The intent is to facilitate crossdressing meetups in real life for the purposes of friendship and sisterhood. There are some rules, described on the local chapters page, and it is not designed as a name brand for the in real life meetups, but rather as an organizing space online with a draw from our 37000 members.
This is different from preexisting geographical based groups as we ask that a local chapter be limited to a reasonable geographical distance… i.e. a distance one would drive for a meetup event. There can be multiple groups in a very large city, or small region, if the population can support it, but I ask that size be restricted to generally a state or a four hour drive at most. Preexisting geographical groups can apply for local chapter status as well, provided they intend to facilitate real world events.
Local chapters features access to their own forums, chat room, and photo galleries as well, and each must have a president and three other members. Also, it must have a name. Trust me, you do not want Tiff to name your chapter….As this is a groups item, to access one must have baroness level membership, but if acquired for local chapters access, there is a discount code. Ask me or Robyn Drake for that code.
Events in real life cannot use the CDH name for legal liability reasons, but “Hosted by ———, friends of CDH” is permissible.
Local Chapters was inspired in part by a group called the Desert Crossroads, which is comprised of CDH girls who self organized and plan a significant event by the same name in Palm Springs, California on May 1-3. It is a conference of sorts, with heavy emphasis on subjects such as “fun” and “recreation” and “awesome sisterhood.” It is being led by CDH’s own Amanda Amore and Rachael Joyous. It’s three days of California fun time topped with a gala on the last day. Registration is still open and will close on April 15. Contact Amanda or Rachael for details if you are interested. Because of their impressive initiative we have granted Desert Crossroads the honor of being chapter #1. And if you are free May 1-3, I suggest checking their event out and meeting some of the legends of CDH.
