Hello music lovers...
I really got hooked on this show, not so much for the acting or the storylines....but it introduced me to some wonderful bands....
There was a club called Tric...which introduced me to some brilliant bands like Jimmy eat World, La Roca, Dashboard Confessional and Nada Surf....
So , has a TV show introduced you to new music????
I also liked One Tree Hill for the music and ladies’ fashions. Miami Vice was a show with great music too.
Hi Grace, Absolutely, All the time. And for a long time. This old gal has seen a lot of TV going back to the late 1950s and have been introduced to all sorts of new music.
the Beverly Hillbillies introduced me to Flatt and Scruggs; Buffy the Vampire Slayer (TV series not the movie) always introduced new musical talent when the Gang hung out at The Bronze (any fans remember that place?) and third, Miami Vice had some really good tunes (Glenn Frey's "You Belong to the City")
One of my favourite albums of all-time is the soundtrack from the Rocky Horror Picture Show. I love the Meatloaf song but who knew that Susan Sarandon can sing (Over at the Frankenstein Place - "In the velvet darkness......." here is the link).
'Over At The Frankenstein Place/There's a Light' Scene | The Rocky Horror Picture Show - Bing video
I can go on but I will spare you from my weird musical taste. Have a great week, sorry I know you have to go to work, but hey, I don't. I love being retired. Take care, Hugs, Krista.
Yes Jeannie...
Miami vice....or as I called them.." the fashion police" xx
😊
