What is your favorite music? I’m a sucker for anything with saxophone in it. I love seventies and eighties music. I don’t have a bit of musical talent but appreciate it. I love Fleetwood Mac, eagles, Bruce Springsteen, and other eighties bands from my youth. Nowadays I listen to a lot of country. It is better than ever.

@kerrismith love all those artists you mentioned. Some great stuff from others from 70s and 80s. Any genre is great if the tune is good. Country not quite so popular over here though.

Before I sold out to IT (for the $$ of course), I worked in the music industry....primarily indie radio and concert promotion.  There's a zillion different music genres and there's no way you can make a list that'll satisfy every appetite.  But Kerri has a good start going here.

I like a ton of artists spanning a huge swath of genres.  It would be impossible to say what's my favorite.  I listen to indie/alt, chill/electronica, house/disco, and hip hop most often.

I voted for my main listening but there could be anything that may prick the ears from any genre.

I selected classic rock, I enjoy the older groups, but when I just want to kick back and relax, I love listening the Jimmy Buffett, who sadly we just lost.

I grew up on Classis Rock but I'm burned out on it. Now I've gravitated toward college radio and the alternative/indie music they play. To me, it's more exciting and inventive.

There is so much good music out there, past and present, its hard to keep up.  Although I didn't choose every category.  I do like a song from pretty much any genre.  For instance, I didnt pick country, but I think Friends In Low Places is one of the best .

I picked other also.  That category is Punk.  Love it so much.  And a huge reason why I am the person I am today.

Thanks for starting this poll.

Hmmm, interesting topic with responses varying quite a lot as we all have music that moves us but would drive others crazy. LOL

I'm not sure what category my favorite artists that I currently listen to would fall in.
-I love Mark Knopfler's music, formerly the lead singer of Dire Straights.
-I really enjoy technic chill.
-I like many classic rock artists that harmonized well, best examples are, Moody Blues, America, The Association, Seals and Croft, and Crosby Stills and Nash.
-But I also love the piano, and one of my favorite pianists is from LA and creates wonderful music that always moves my heart and often brings me to tears, Brian Crain. I guess he would be considered easy listening.

Hugs girls, enjoy your music,

Ms. Lauren M

What a great topic! Thank you Kerri for starting it.

Like many of the sisters here, I like listening to classic rock. I love to "rev up" when exercising and listen to eighties rock music, and soundtracks from movies back in the eighties, like Ghostbusters or Rocky IV. Classic rock and movie soundtracks are my favorites. I also like to listen to a variety of music as well. Variety is the spice of life!

If you like saxophone try Tower of Power, loved them since the early 70’s!

I have a very wide variety of music in my collection.  Vinyl is to die for.  Depends on my mood is what I listen to.   When I’m all done up in my Sunday best dress …. It’s Heart or Etta James.

Hi Ladies,
I like just about all music genres. However, when I get dressed I like to jam out to Bananarama Venus, I heard a rumor (fitting ;), cruel summer, or Bardeux magic carpet ride (also fitting) and other 80’s ladies pop bands. I suppose that goes to my 1st experience with CD-ing.
XOXO

I pretty much love all genres, I can probably say I don’t like a couple of styles, but I can jump from heavy metal to jazz and blues, some classical, country, Latin music, such salsa, merengue, mambo, pop  from the 80’s and 90’s as well. Of course currently there are several styles I like, Amy Winehouse, Adele, Ed Sheeran and I can go on and on, just love music in general, probably the only thing I dislike is reguetón .
