Hi Ladies,

Do you have a favorite Fleetwood Mac band Member line up?  The early band years In the 1960’s  was a heavy British Blues oriented focus with several line ups.  Some different changes in the early ‘70’s when I first heard them on (underground) FM radio.  Then into the Buckingham - Nicks era of the pop 70’s.  Continued mainstream through the ‘90’s into  the oots/new dmilenium.

i mean it's hard to argue against the rumours era lineup, but once you put one of the finns in a band i am also into that.

Hehe.  I must give my 2 bits worth here I think!   I would just say the Stevie era, but that's pretty big.  This is pretty tough actually.  What can you say about Rumours?  One of the very best rock albums ever.   Nicks/Buckingham did amazing things together and I'm sure she tortured his soul during much of it... Tango in the Night is one of my favorites and was a great concert.  Since if I had to pick an era, it would be the Rumours group.  Best album.

Now, we gonna talk Stevie Nicks' solo group? 😁😉

Hi all,

As aoife says, it's hard to argue against the 'rumours' time.

I also very much liked the Peter Green era, when they did classic singles like Albatross, and Need your Love so bad - quite different to the later music. But they didn't half get through guitarists after that - two went a bit crazy, and another disappeared into some sort of cult for a while, and their replacements never really got it - I guess without which Nicks and Buckingham might never have come on board.

Hi Grace,

Rumors was indeed a fantastic album.  I think I wore out my copy.

I’m a huge Peter Green and Stevie Nicks fan, those eras are really different bands though. Also I was a teen in the 80’s so it’s hard to beat Neil Finn and I’m also a big fan of Mike Campbell. But, the Nicks/Buckingham era is the best era of the band from a sales point of view for a good reason and that takes nothing away from the other eras but the hits and deep cuts speak for themselves.
