With the weather getting warmer and Covid rules relaxing, quite a few of us will be hitting the highway to go somewhere, anywhere, just to be out, or taking a cruise through the country for the day.

I'm curious about 10 songs that we would put on a CD to play in the car and burn up some miles listening to.  So, we need 10 that might get you a speeding ticket if you don't have cruise control on your ride.  And, let's only use one song per artist/group.  Here's 10 from me:

1) Born To Run... Bruce Springsteen

2) Seven Seas Of Rhye... Queen

3) Smokin'... Boston

4) Don't Fear The Reaper... Blue Oyster Cult

5) Roll Me Away... Bob Seger

6) Carry On My Wayward Son... Kansas

7) Train, Train... Blackfoot

8) Gel... Collective Soul

9) Twilight Zone... Golden Earring

10) Jessica... The Allman Brothers.

I can't provide just 10. Anything from Skillet, Red, Thousand Foot Krutch, The Letter Black, and a few other bands will do the trick. I'm oddly enough into the same music my drab alter is into. But he knows what he likes and knows it's good.

The whole album "Moontan" is driving perfection. Started with "Radar Love" and each song just ups the game until the end, where if you're not at 100mph then your already pulled over!

Driving rhythm in a fast car lol. That drum solo on radar love, low and almost menacing at the start. I feel like my wheels are just hovering above the road.

Here's my ten. I could think of a hundred, given the time. Love to drive while rocking out. All of these tested in the GTO.
Dixie Dregs: Odyssey/Travelling Tunes
Pink Floyd: Shine On You Crazy Diamond (all parts)
King Crimson: Sheltering Sky
Emerson Lake and Palmer: Aquatarkus (live)
Roy Buchanan: Green Onions
Joe Walsh: Turn To Stone (live)
Eagles: Ol' 55 (slowing it down)
Thin Lizzy: Emerald (speeding it back up)
Marshall Tucker Band: 24 Hours At A Time
Charlie Daniels Band: Birmingham Blues (though "Billy The Kid" is a ripper, too)

Fun topic. I love road tunes. I’ll cross genres, but as I cruise down the highway, you can rest assured you’ll hear one of these songs...
1. Ticket to Ride (The Beatles)
2. Born to Run (Bruce Springsteen)
3. On the Road Again (Willie Nelson)
4. Hotel California (Eagles)
5. Last Train to London (ELO)
6. Holiday Road (Lyndsey Buckingham)
7. Roundabout (Yes)
8. King of the Road (Roger Miller)
9. Uneasy Rider (Charlie Daniels)
10. Helen Wheels (Wings)

That’s my list, always subject to change. “To the Batmobile!”

Hi Girls,

Born to be wild - Steppenwolf

Highway to Hell - AC/DC

Going down the road - Roy Wood

Drive my car - The Beatles

Driving in my car - Madness

Mr Tambourine Man  - The Byrds

On the road again - Canned Heat

All cued up and ready to play on the stereo of my E-type Jaguar (BRG of course).

Love
