This weekend has been the anniversary of my coming out to my best friend from way back at school. I wrote a post about it at the time - https://www.crossdresserheaven.com/community/postid/518193/. As we did last year, we went to see our favourite band playing excellent Genesis covers. Right on the topic of this post, it was at another concert by the same band that my friend and I actually met again, several years ago.
Tonight was the last of this year's two gigs, at the same place as before. Reading last year's post back just now, it takes me right back there, but equally it describes the experience this year too. Although if anything, it's been even better this year, what with going as Fiona both nights 🙂
Again on topic, how wonderful too, that tonight I met the first crossdressing sister that I've chanced upon in the wild. She just happened to have booked the seat right next to us in an audience of over 400 people! I'd actually seen her earlier as she walked into the foyer and past us to the bar, but it was a real pleasure to find that we were seated together.
So I said hello and we chatted a bit before the lights went down for the show. It turns out we'd missed each other the previous night, although I do recall wondering about a lady I saw at one point, which must have been her. Anyway, I recommended CDH, of course 🙂 So if Paige from Bury St.Edmunds joins and posts up while I'm away in the next couple of days, do please give her the usual warm CDH welcome!

It was truly a wonderful surprise to meet you at the gig yesterday. It's a shame we didn't get longer to chat, but the music does come first!!
I apologise for rushing off in the interval, but that pint had to go somewhere! I also bought a t-shirt whilst I was stretching my legs.
We talked briefly about how long we'd been following G2, and I've just discovered a ticket for 18 May 2013! Far longer ago than I'd thought.
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the gigs, and your time away. I'll be back at the Stables for Julie Fowlis in October and, of course, G2 at the end of May next year but I hope we can bump into each other again before then.

Oh, I'm with you on the music hon - what a fantastic couple of evenings those were and I'm so pleased to have met you on the second one, of all the places to meet another sister! I'll certainly be back for May next year, but it'd be great if we did bump into each other again meanwhile. Are you able to come to Leeds First Friday on August 1st? Following on from Fluff's reply, quite a few of us are in Leeds on the Thursday night as well as the Friday for CDH@LFF. I just thought I'd throw that into the mix 🙂 There's always lots going on in the Freedom Quarter, and on the Thursday we'll be going out for a meal together as well as sampling the local bars.
I'm keeping a spreadsheet of attendees, so if you're interested in joining us just let me know. I can't promise any Genesis though.
