I recommend watching the Norwegian series Ragnarok- if you don’t mind subtitles. It’s a great show, and it features a lot of “Loki”. I shall say no more.
Have to check that out remember watching the one where at the end they meet up with Thanos was about Ragnarok.

That or their finally following the Norse mythology. Loki was never just male or just female. It was whatever it wanted to be (it seeing as it's not defined in any single form which was the real form). Granted the best Loki, imo, was the one from Stargate.

There is. But I'm more inclined to believe it's due to the Norse mythology behind the character.
