Abbey Road is the eleventh studio album by the English rock band the Beatles, released on 26 September 1969 by Apple Records. Named after the location of EMI Studios in London, the cover features the group walking across the street's zebra crossing, an image that became one of the most famous and imitated in popular music.

Thanks Alice!
Another great music milestone. Have grown to like the Beatles more over time. I was always a Wings fan which Paul and Linda McCartney formed after the Beatles.
Love and hugs, Stephanie 💖
Hi Stephanie,
Yes, still very popular and sell many albums world wide. I liked Paul & Linda & Wings too. A milestone as it’s been 52 years.

One of the greatest albums in contemporary music.
The Beatles definitely hold a place in my Heart!! Hugs Pru
The Beatles were the first group that I purchased multiple records and albums of and they are still the group of which I have the most albums both in Vinyl and CD.
Oh, I almost forgot. Yellow Submarine was my first 45! I think I was 6? In 68. More Hugs
Hi Pru,
They were the Fab 4. We grew up with them.

Alice Perhaps I am getting ancient as my first one was Please Please Me not all that long after it was released and every one after that.

Hi Alice....
I think it's all been said really...super group who influenced so many....they simply changed the way we listened to music....even after they split.
McCartney, Lennon and Harrison all carried on producing outstanding stuff...was " Wings over America" one of the best live albums???
I never really got Ringo Starr ...some have said that he wasn't even the best drummer in the GROUP!!! ( no offence Ringo, but voicing Thomas the tank engine really didn't rock my world!!! ).
With all that talent, I could probably have done the drumming!!!....just my opinion!
The fab three and Grace ❤️
When I was in High School we studied side 2 of Abbey Road. Examined it as poetry and studied the lyrics.
Just a couple of years ago I overheard a conversation between a group of teenagers discussing exactly what we studied nearly 50 years before!
400 years from now I believe that music students will still study Lennon and McCartney along with Beethoven, Bach, and Mozart

I love the Beatles.

Hi Rachel,
A great selection!
