Much has been said over time about Ringo. His drumming wasn’t the best. But he has endured, and the Beatles were a quartet.

John Lennon is reported to have responded to the question "Is Ringo the greatest drummer in the world?" by saying "He's not even the best drummer in the Beatles!".
Ringo's less is more style fitted the group perfectly, and he always nailed the beat.
If he hadn't, then people might have been less likely to dance to their music, and they might have been less popular as a result...
He was inventive within his arena - the song "Tomorrow Never Knows" contains a fantastic break beat that has inspired millions, for example.
And besides, where would we be without Yellow Submarine or Octopuses Garden to keep the kiddies happy?
