Hi to all on CDH,
I grew up listening to these lovely ladies singing, but back then was not into formal gowns like they wore during their performances.
Now that I am into "all of the above", check this link out
A look back at The Supremes' most iconic gowns
makes this formal gown lover's heart go all a flutter. Not that even back then in my "Callow youth" could I have worn them, never had never will have the figure...
Caty.
What an amazing group of photos! Such lovely and beautiful gowns!
Thanks for sharing.

My pleasure Amy, dear "Canadian cousin".
I've also "overdosed" on all the lovely gowns in "Bridgerton" , especially the formal ball gowns.. The plot does nothing for me... But the designs, fabrics and "heaving bosoms" out of the corsets.... Swoooonnnnnnn!!!
Caty.
Beautiful and classy ladies, their soundtracks instantly evoke the 60's & 70's to me.
Caty you are soooo right. Dianna Ross had such a distinctive voice and their songs were always on the radio. The gowns were iconic 60s style.
And the hairdos, with generous amounts of hairspray no doubt!
As for gowns, I recently watched the documentary “The First Monday in May” about the preparations for the 2015 Met Exhibition, “China through the looking glass”. Ohh to get a ticket to opening night of that!
#6 though... those SEQUINS!!!!
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
I would so wear some of those....

Caty...
I just love Diana Ross, a voice as good as it gets, those early years... Supremes and her first years solo..."touch me in the morning" and "all of my life" both make me cry...
add those glorious gowns...perfection.
