I really liked Jerry Maguire.  A guy falls in love with a divorced woman and her little boy, and every body loves football.

The movies that are very important to me are the life story of Christine Gerson and a Danish girl.
They’re definitely tear jerker’s; an amazing emotional roller coaster ride.

I often find it difficult to make a simple choice. But this movie has been my favorite for a long time.

1) Breakfast at Tiffany's. Audrey Hepburn and George Peppard.

Holly Golightly became a favorite character as soon as I read Truman Capote's novel. Despite the deviations from the original book, I think the film retained the magic of the story. I simply adore her. Holly and Audrey.

I mention the other three that I was considering, but in the end they deviated considerably from my choice.

2) Sabrina. Audrey Hepburn and Humphrey Bogart.

3) Roman Holiday. Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck.

4) Casablanca. Ingrid Bergman and Humphrey Bogart.

I guess I have a special fascination for old movies.

@firefly Casablanca is my all time favorite movie.  I adore Roman Holiday!  Sabrina also does it for me.  A good selection.

There seems to be one movie that sticks in my mind, it's from 1973 and called Jeremy.

Shy cellist boy meets upperclassman ballet-student girl at school. They experience first-time love, then happenstance pulls them apart.

I was in my 20s when I saw it, a roughie toughie sailor, and I had tears. 😏

Pride and Prejudice with Kiera Knightly is my fav.  I will say there are many since I am a movie/tv buff.

I also have a great time with k-drama rom-coms like Coffee Prince, She Used To Be Pretty, and Lie To Me!

For comic love entanglements and a sense of pretending to be dressed as a woman let us not forget 'Tootsie' or for that matter…'Some like it hot'

If anyone wants an off-the-beaten-path flick, “Secretary” comes to mind. Aside from Maggie Gyllenhaal in some great pantyhose scenes, it’s a surprisingly sweet love story. I had to watch it after reading that it was Monica Lewinsky’s favorite movie.

“Appaloosa” is a western of recent vintage that has the best portrayal of a love story between men that I can remember. Its “friendship love” between Ed Harris and Viggo Mortensen, but very touching nonetheless.

I love Sleepless in Seattle.  The scene where they finally meet always has me reaching for a tissue box.

Back in October, 2024, I checked a box on my "To Do" list by going to a "chick flick"...as a chick! It was, "We Live In Time". Sad, but hopeful, I left the theater with tears running down my cheeks. 😭 Mission accomplished! 😉  Despite my reason for going, I actually thought it was a good movie...
