This last week temperatures in Seattle reached record highs. Where I live it got up to 107 degrees (41 degrees Celsius for our friends to the North and East). Anyone who has lived in the Northwest a while has grown accustomed to extreme moderation in temperatures – it rarely gets below 30, and rarely peaks above 90. Very few homes have air conditioners, so this bought of overly hot summer brought us sweating and in search of any respite.
Unfortunately this meant I spent as little time as possible in our computer room, which is heated even further by Intel, and missed out on last week’s Crossdressing Website recommendation. We’re back in the saddle this week.
A Crossdressing Forum
This week’s recommendation comes from Laura Evans. It’s a crossdressing forum, and often has valuable resources and provides a place to talk with other crossdressers.
http://www.crossdressers.com A site for discussing all sorts of topics related to crossdressing with other crossdressers. Topics range from clothing, makeup, going out in public, coming out to the spouse or others, etc... It is a moderated site with rules for participation. There is a section for partners and a photo gallery. There is more to it check it out.

I use Bare Escentuals mineral makeup as my sunscreen. The foundation includes an SPF15 sunblock. It’s the only sunscreen I’ve found that doesn’t cause me to break out – give it a try if your sunscreen doesn’t agree with your skin.
I stumbled upon Crossdressers.com during the final months of 2007, and after a bit of umming and ahhing joined it myself about a year later. (Somewhat confusingly, I chose a different name for myself for that forum - "Marshchild" - though not for any deep, dark reason; it just seemed like a good idea at the time.) Overall, I find it a good forum, although there's a bit of negativity on it that can get a tad overbearing at times (and which was the main reason I took so long to join it myself). As I said, though, I find it pretty good for the most part, and I've learnt to just ignore the postings of those members who seem determined to wallow in pessimism and self-pity, no matter how much everyone else tries to encourage them. (Unfortunately, I recently discovered that one poster on the board whose posts I did enjoy reading - a certain "MissConstrued" - has been banned. He (yes, that's the pronoun he preferred to be referred by) was very positive and unapologetic about his CDing, but unfortunately a little too outspoken at times, which is perhaps why he was banned.) Unfortunately, I've been a bit slack about posting on that board of late, although I intend to get around to rectifying that sorry start of affairs soon.
BTW, my commiserations for the inclement weather you've been experiencing. Unfortunately, summer temperatures over the old century mark are by no means unusual where I come from (Australia), but it still doesn't make it any easier to deal with them. Interestingly enough, I've a brother living in Seattle right now! I wonder what he's making of the heat. He always told me he liked it, the crazy bastard.
