I regularly post on Yahoo Answers, answering questions about the transgendered and cross dressing. I really enjoy helping people come to terms with their transgender nature, or that of a loved one. Recently Fire Falcon answered a question about the transgendered using the ladies bathroom, and I thought it was too good not to share with all of you:

One of my friends was ranting about how some transvestite was saying he wanted to be able to go to the ladies’ bathroom and all this other crap.]]
So what? A bathroom is for taking a leak and other such things. While I don't necessarily agree with transvestites or crossdressers using the bathroom of the gender they are presenting as, I have no issue with it because GASP... Dressing like a girl and going into the men's bathroom is asking to get your face beat in, and there's already too much violence and hatred in this messed up world.

A transvestite, transgender nor a transsexual is coming in there to peer at your goodies or try and rape you-- they're coming to use the bathroom they feel is right for them, so they don't get the crap beat out of them in the other bathroom. Calling the cops on someone who runs in, tinkles, washes their hands and runs back out is not only absurd, but borderlines on cruel.

For god's sake, let people take a piss.

I think that pretty much says it all...

I've used the mens loo many times. The queue to the ladies is always huge. This said it is far smellier in the mens not to mention the view 😉

Meanwhile, often the cleaners in ladies loos are men, and they clean while in use, so what's the difference?

Hey Nansy,

This link has some good information about size conversion: http://www.angelfire.com/fl2/crossdressing/sizes.html

For your bra size, you're looking at roughly a 40B.
If you wear a size 42 shoe in Europe, you're looking at a ~ US size 10 or 10.5

There's a lot of hysteria in the public about transgendered individuals using the ladies restroom. There are those that think transgendered women do it so that they can somehow view another woman's private areas. This is totally absurd because once inside a stall in the ladies room, it is relatively private and viewing just isn't possible or practical without attracting attention. I have seen women use the mens rest room when there was a long line in the ladies restroom because they simply have to go right away. It's funny that society accepts this and does not make an issue over it.

As a transgendered woman, I always use the ladies restroom when cross dressed and I have never had a problem. The public doesn't realize that this is going on everyday by many transgendered women who pass as women. The use of the mens restroom by transgendered women is stupid and a recipe for disaster. It will allow the public to find out who all the transgendered people really are and only increase the level of discrimination they already receive once they have been discovered. The potential for violence and ridicle is why I do not use the mens rest room while cross dressed.

As a transgendered woman, I feel I have a right to relieve myself in a safe, pleasant environment just like everyone else. Since I feel that I am a woman deep inside my soul, I feel completely justified using the ladies restroom while cross dressed. However, I have used the more private unisex bathrooms when they are available and I encourage all transgendered people to use them whenever possible.

Vasilisa frankly I find your comment about often raping women both offensive and criminally admissive.

Whether you are stating fact or acting out some distorted fantasy violence against women, or anyone for that matter, is both unwarranted and illegal.

Perhaps you'd do well to remember that Crossdresser Heaven is about being supportive and tolerant.

I agree with Jane, and have removed your comment Vasillisa.

I have been using the ladies room and haven't had any problems with anyone
I just walk in with the confidence that I look and move as a female dose .
I use the facility and I don't linger any longer than I have to. I always make sure that I wash my hands and if it isn't crowded I brush my hair and put on new lipstick
No one looks at me as anything more than just a female using the ladies room.

When out dressed I use the ladies washroom, use the facility, fix the hair and makeup and never had an issue

The simplest solution is unisex cubicles, which I've used on several occasions. Alternatively, toilets could be built comprising several cubicles and urinals could be separate.

I wholeheartedly agree with you. Using the bathroom or ladies room while dressed en.femme is the only thing to do when nature calls
I don't go to a ladies room for any reason other than to use the toilet.
I'm always aware that I'm in there only because I have the need to use the facilities and not to invade anyone's privacy.
I've always thought this way and I've never had a problem.
I go in and do what it is that I went in there for then leave
Thanks for the great article. It's good to know that I'm not the only one who thinks this way
