Hi Jackie. What an incredible story. Like you I had 4 sisters growing up and though they were all different sizes in height I would try one the ones that I knew would fit me the best without ruining them. It is so great that the one who came into your life was the one you could confide in. Hopefully you are still able to wear what you feel the most comfortable in and enjoy life.

Love Renee
PS, I still get my hair done at a local beauty salon and would never want to go anywhere else.

Hi Renee; it's always a good thing when I hear of other's who had sister's and wore they're clothes. My number 1 sister (though I love them all) came to be the most supportive. She, and I'm not ashamed to tell because she has no shame or regrets was an exotic dancer who worked in a club. She always had the sexiest and stand out in a crowd clothing, shoes, boots and lots of makeup for me to try. I didn't think or know that she actually knew that I used her things until one day she came into my room and asked me if I had borrowed a pair of heels of her's. I tried to play it off but wasn't so successful in doing so. A few day's later was when I opened up to her and told all there was to tell including my sexuality. We are still very close. Thank you for sharing this with me and other's. Peace, Jackie....

I find it hard to tell anyone in my family that I crossdress and that I love how I feel when dressed ! I have even gone as far as having been with a guy a few times and enjoyed it a lot ! The last time I saw him I was dressed in a blue sleeveless dress that came to just above me knees , thigh highs and short boots , and a dark brown wig ! He treated me like I was a woman and I loved it! We had sex and it so good and felt vary good to me!
I got beat up by my adopted dad for wearing my adopted moms bra and panties and pantyhose! I was like 10 at the time ! I still dress and love too its part of who I am, I am Joanna !

A wonderful story, Jackie. Thanks so much for sharing. Everyone needs a sister like Elaine! She deserves this lovely tribute that you wrote for her … and a big hug from us all!

Hey Jackie,
Thank you for telling us this wonderful story with your sister.
I started wondering here what if I had had a sister like Elaine. Surely things would have been far easier for me and it's very likely everyone had already known Daisy and, perhaps, I wouldn't be so fearful of coming out.
xoxo

Hi Daisy, I'm so sorry your struggling honey it's not easy to do in your position. Yes I was very fortunate to have an amazing sister like Elaine. My other sister's weren't all that happy to know that they're little brother is gay, wears makeup and wears girls clothing. My mother had a struggle with it more than anyone else. But when it was all said and done she as well was accepting. It was at school and other people here and there that didn't really accept me but I quit caring about what they thought of me and carried on being who I was born to be. I wholeheartedly believe we are born with this lifestyle. It may take some longer than other's to accept or recognize that but one way another we all live it out whether it be in the closet/in private or out loud we live it everyday of our lives. I thought for the longest time I was being sneaky and no one really knew what I did sexually and all the other but when I came out everyone asked "what took you so long to say it" ????? I am not by any means giving you advice or saying you need to come out. That will take place when u decide. However, I do want to tell you that even though it was long ago that I fessed up I still remember the weight it lifted from me and I am still 100% grateful for being free. If you ever need to talk more just hit me up I'll give you either my email or number. Be confused no more girl and let magic and logic take it;s form. Try to reach out to others on this site, join some groups and be who you were born to be. Respect and love, Jackie.....

Jackie....
I did enjoy your article. I am an author of many articles, some in magazines, medical journals, newspapers and here on CDH.
I LOVE Hearing others stories of their journey. There are always so many common experiences and expectations.
At 75 in October, I have been dressing in public since the 1960's, in my 20's.
My wife and I have an Instructional School for CDers. We teach soup to nuts about CDing. She's a Westmores of Hollywood grad, MUA.
WE ARE IN Poulsbo WA! You said you have relatives in Seattle. We collaborate with TRANSPACE SEATTLE for services in CD ing.
Would love to see you come to visit!

Hi TJ: I no longer have relatives in Seattle, just an x boyfriend who decided to stay there after a pride event. My one sister who lived there now lives in Idaho again thank god. It sounds like you and your wife do many good things for the CD population and I commend you both. There is still so much needed support for so many. I wonder sometimes if it will ever be recognized and looked upon as a normal way of living. At 61 I still go through trials and tribulations. Of course I was bitten 3 ways but I have loved every minute of my life. Thank you for your support for so many. Your contributions are recognized and respected by so many. If your ever in Idaho give me a jingle. Thank you, Jackie.....
