If you're lucky, you are near a Goodwill outlet store. It's where everything that goes to Goodwill ends up after it doesn't sell in a regular GW store. You have to bring your own bag ,but all clothing is $1.29 a lb. It's more of a rummage sale vibe, but fun and cheap.
Me too, Big time patron of Goodwill and St Vincents. I suspect there may be a lot of girls like us shopping and donating to the store. I see a lot of nearly new high heel shoes on the rack at the store I go too. I'm guessing some gurl found she couldn't walk in the 4inch or higher heels, or had their one time thrill and ditched them, being afraid to be caught by thier SO.
Their loss is out gain. I wear a woman's size 10 shoe, seems women average a size 8.5 to 9 at the store I frequent. If you spot anything bigger you can bet it was donated by one of us.
Went to my local Goodwill last weekend with my wife. We had a fun time. I bought five tops, a pleated skirt and a floor length summer dress. I loved the colors I picked. Bright and cheerful. My wife on the other hand picked out clothes that were more fitting for a guy. And when she has to dress up nicely she will be borrowing my things.
I have a hard time finding shoes there that I like. I’m a size 11 in women’s. I have yet to find nice pair that I would like.
Great to hear about your success at Goodwill, for both you and your wife. It sounds like she is accepting or at least tolerates your dressing. Early in my career, I wore some of my wife’s clothes, but learned from a therapist that it is a big no no for almost all women. So as I’ve progressed, I realize the importance of having my own clothes and all the other accessories that go with them. And I’ve learned that I have a completely different style than my wife. And I think she recognizes and really appreciates that. So it’s all good.
