I can totally relate Lena!
My very first time "EnFemme" was for a Halloween Party back before Covid hit us all... I had a Girlfriend (yes, a girl who is a friend) do my hair and makeup, because I am still complete and total shyte at it... I went total 100% EnFemme with garter, stockings, ankle boots and bra... then the Gothic style dress and matching Bolero Jacket and of course the Hooded Cape. It was way more fun than I could have imagined, being a Victorian Vampress for the evening. Alot of the other party attendees even suggested I participate in the Best Costume Contest... I got an Honorable Mention. Since then, being EnFemme has become my most welcomed part of my everyday attire... work permitting of course, LOL.

Hi Lena, My first time out was to a Drag Bar, what a rush!! Every dress , Bras, shaper's, panties, and tights all out and I spent hours trying all on. I picked suntan stockings matching Brown lace bra, panties and garter belt I spent 2 hr doing my makeup, red long wig, next a silver knee length wrap dress, best of all silver 4in heel sandals from 9West. Off to the Bar by 9:00 (I started getting ready at 5:00) Setting in the car trying to get the nerve to go in-------finally put on my big girl panties and off I went. Picked a table neat the stage and with no table service so off to the bar for a beer. The bar tender (you look great) YES success. Only the start of and awesome night, a brides party set down at the next table and 2 at my table. One of the girls grabbed me by arm and off to the dance floor. We danced until the show started. What a night never to be for gotten !!!!

It wasn't my first time out. But have been to LGBT friendly club that about twice a month have drag shows. Any way after the show have been ask to dance by women. So a boost to my ability to present well. Hope you can have more of these good times.

Your story resembles much of us reading this. In childhood i saw my aunt getting ready for the casino. I looked at the magic dress. I wanted that too. But then years nothing except a couple of times i changed. But now since less then one year i regularly become Kathleen. And more and more i am coming home to a sort of friend a haven’t seen for a long time. More and more comfortable when i am en femme. And about a week ago i went for the first time as Kathleen to a gathering of tgirls in a City. What a milestone for me . Talking face to face as a woman to someone i stead of online.

Lena Black I understand where you are at I was lucky I had a gay friend go with me and even with my friend I still felt uneasy we did go to a gay bar I had a beer then we went to a restaurant had I bit to eat then home I was a nervous wreck the whole time then he went with me 2 more time after that he told men I wasn’t my own and each time it got easier for me now when I get the chance I’m going out but if by yourself don’t wear to short a dress or skirt or super high heels definitely try to fit in with your age group so you don’t attack unwanted attention I really don’t have a problem but in certain areas you will know your area well my friend

Hiya Lena

Well yeah I will never forget my first time lol, OMG where to start... I first went out dressed femme around the age of 15 yrs old, i was an early starter. Well the symptoms I suffered from were pure terrified, at the same time very exiting, at the same time curiousness and so on. I'll never forget the feeling of my heart banging and the blood rushing in the back of my ear causing a throbbing feeling there.. at the same time a very dry mouth and throat.. I was dressed in a floral dress, suited to a girl my age and surprisingly passed very well, I never said anything to anyone, people in passing me both ways only saw a girl, and as time went along on this trip off, noticing that people weren't noticing and only seeing what they perceived just to be a real girl, started making me feel a whole load more easier. I then progressed to push it just a bit further I thought I would walk in a wide open place people sat in cars, snogging doing whatever they were doing and in the 70s life was generally far safer going at least this place I knew was very safe, so I strolled across a car park, not that I would recommend doing that on a first time these days, as times have changed so much. Then after that I returned home walking along a sea front to return to my home that I lived at in the old days. I could hear the sea rolling in from my bed room window, as I made my way up to my fire escape stair case up to my private access door, which i had sussed to use to enjoy nights out. My family was unaware of my exploits, of which there was many lol.

I have walked out the door enfemme many times often for a totally different scenario that it can feel like the first time. First it was for a party where I knew I would know no one. Then it was the Folsom Street Fair in SF and venturing far from home to tour the Oklahoma City bombing site which is now a museum. All situations where I was out alone, so to speak, to show the world that I had the courage to be who I wanted to be. And each time, it was an amazing feeling and experience.

Hi, toots! If you want to pass as a woman, skip LGBTQ venues. They’re friendly but no challenge means no fun! Prepare for how to serve Mother Nature should she call. I found it a real kick when a young lady in the ladies’ room chatted with me as who I appeared to be. I replied in a few syllables to (I hope!) not disclose my internal mechanisms.
My own first venture was with a cosmetologist who made me up. She predicted I would pass and was amused at my nervous uncertainty. She and I visited a dept store, were greeted by a man with “Hello, ladies” at the door (not proof of passage but my accomplice was satisfied that it was sincere), and shot selfies inside.
Keep your receipts as souvenirs of your sortie en femme, honey!
