My two cents is this. Before we had stats that told us when someone joined, how many post and thanks they had. Easy to understand, allowed me to decided who was safe and maybe those that weren’t.
Today is the first day I saw the ranking system. I feel as if I am in a competition now. Before it didn’t mater how many post or thanks we had. In my eye we all were equal. Some of us posted more, some of us were thanks more. No big deal. With this change we are rewarded, placed on a pedestal for all to see. It seems that we are no longer to feel equal to others around us. 
again, it’s just my 2 cents worth. 

@lisa55 I don't feel that you and I are in a competition... my ranking doesn't really mean crap other than I'm busy as the MA, and I think everyone already knew that...

it doesn't change how we moderate, it doesn't change anything...

(by the way, did you see that I have a higher rating than even Vanessa?)  

But how do we get to see our own ratings?

How do we see our Activities,  as in we see our people Activities. But can't see our own .. ???

You can access your profile through the menu in the top right. Hover over your name, then select 'Profile'

Personally I find the “ratings” to be a valuable tool here on CDH. It tells me who’s committed to our hobby and who’s just a “drive-by”. After a few months on here you can sort of tell who’s engaged or not just by the number of times they pop up in different places. But it’s not always a reliable indicator as girls do take a breather from time to time. The ratings tell me how real they are. I don’t see them as a competition thing at all. Maybe with ones self, but that’s it. In another one of my hobbies that I’m committed to - we have ratings. As a coach likes to say: “If you don’t like your rating then get better.” I can’t argue with that.🥰

My biggest concern is my chess.com rating, it's just under 1000 and it's killing me to get it over. As far as ratings are concerned here, as Grace says, they are a reasonable indicator of CDH interest but certainly not a competition. Look at the 'Most Active Members' chart (which is an anomaly as it is only a record of the most posts, not who is most active at this time) and you'll see most of us have a very long way to go to get to the top of that particular tree.
