@girlyboy9020 I myself prefer skirts, the reasoning behind it, well l think they look nicer, when in male mode or drab l wear kilts out and about, at home whether l am indoors or outdoors l wear skirts, some are solid colours and other are plaid

@girlyboy9020 I chose dresses since I think they help me look more feminine but I really didn't want to chose since it depends on the occasion and my mood.  I would never want to stop shopping for gorgeous tops to wear with my skirts.

@girlyboy9020 I feel that dresses work better for me based on my figure (which I'm still working on....).   I also like being dressed from shoulders to hem monochromatically or in a nice pattern.

@lauren114 I agree Lauren! As you can see from the photos I posted of myself wearing dresses 👗, they give me a nice feminine figure and thus I look much more feminine in them as opposed to skirts which I rarely wear!

People who were born as women have it easier because they look feminine even wearing sweatpants! For me to look feminine, I have to put on a dress!!

@girlyboy9020 Ashlyn, I voted for dresses, but cute skirts are just as feminine, and  we can pair them with other tops and wear the same cute skirt  in multiple outfits . A nice dress tho , so sexy!!

@joannajoy I usually wear dresses but I do have one very cute pink mini skirt that I like to wear sometimes! I posted a picture of myself wearing it in my public photos! Have you seen the photo yet? If so how does this skirt look on me?

@girlyboy9020 I prefer dresses, but starting to wear skirts more. The thing with skirts is that you wear different tops and come up with different looks with just a change of top.

@loneleycd Yeah & that can get complicated! Like I can't have different shades of white or black. I had no idea there was that many whites. Then textures might not go together. Ahhhhhh....

@staceycross Yes, I went to a funeral a few weeks ago and wore a black skirt with a top that was black with cream colored polkadots. At first glance I thought they were white but they were not quite 'white ' white.

Actually,

A third category: Both. Would cover me better. Under dressing definitely a skirt. Depending on mood and situation a dress.

I love the ability to use either to wear. Skirts have a wide flexibility with mixing and matching tops.

Overall nothing says feminine like Dresses and Skirts!

@gafran I love being able to wear both as well Fran!! One of the many perks of being a lady is having so many clothing choices!! It makes you feel bad for the men who are stuck with only pants and shorts 🩳!

@girlyboy9020: I voted dresses; as that's what I loved wearing the most playing "dress-up" in my Grand Aunt's clothes, she let me.

I love skirts also. My preference is dresses 51% and skirts 49%; depends on the occasion and my mood on which I'll wear. Ironic that I have 2.5× as many skirts as I do dresses; however, I did buy three new dresses the previous week.

@girlyboy9020 I have always been more drawn to skirts than dresses, largely because it was easier to get a nice outfit together with more options. Pairing a skirt with a variety of different tops can give you several looks whereas a dress is a dress!
Also, finding a dress for the male physique is more complicated. 🙂
These days though, thanks to my lovely partner, I have embraced the dress as a concept and have many to choose from, although I still mostly will wear a skirt and pretty top.

@caroline2k I agree finding dresses 👗 for the male physique is more complicated but well worth it!! If you take a look at my public photos you will see how beautiful I look in an A line dress! Plus, I feel much more feminine wearing a dress as opposed to a skirt

@girlyboy9020 I voted dresses.  I love dresses.  Just the way they are so comfortable and they are a total outfit appeals to me.  I also find that the dresses with zippers in the back, while hard to get into, are so much fun, because once you’ve struggled getting that back zipper up, you know you are dressing for a while, which is my goal anyway.

@girlyboy9020 By the numbers? Skirts.

I have maybe 6 dresses, but the nicer ones are mostly suit-bagged, to protect them, therefore skirts are worn more often, especially around my wife. When she is not home I have to think about wearing a dress, especially during warm weather when I  practically live in public view on our balcony.

@girlyboy9020 Skirts are easier to buy I find it so difficult to find dresses that fit both the top and bottom half .... a lovely skirt and a top is far easier .....I do have some lovely dresses but sizes are so difficult for female attire ....fun trying though lol

@sophievdevine I think I finally figured out my dress 👗 size is XXL as I’m a big girl plus I unfortunately have a belly to hide so I opt for a dress that is not skin tight! Please check out my public photos and leave your feedback in the comments section, I would appreciate it very much 🙂!!

@girlyboy9020 I prefer skirts because for me part of the joy dressing female is the creativity and matching.

i can do that with a dress but i can do more with a skirt and blouse.

but seriously I love both 🤗

@girlyboy9020 I prefer dresses, loose or form-fitting, like a little black dress...I will wear a pencil skirt and blouse from time to time, but a dress hides the midriff overlap...which destroys the shaping of the gurly figure. Since I have lost weight from last year, my body is much more feminine now. I hope to experiment with more skirts this year.

@girlyboy9020 For me the answer is both! I loved wearing dresses and skirts equally. Both can show a pretty leg, and both can give one that certain look we desire. Plus both give us the opportunity to wear heels! Smile Face

@girlyboy9020

I like the idea of dresses more, but a skirt and blouse usually work better with my body type. I have a long torso and relatively short legs. I'm tall, but kind of thin, so getting dresses that fit me in a flattering way can be tricky. Separate pieces just seem to work better.

@girlyboy9020 Usually it's a skirt for me because it gives more flexibility with fashion choices. Like colors or prints, maybe an A line or pencil or full skirt. I really love a nice fitting dress as well but I don't always feel like wearing one! And I'm not always sure why I don't want to at the time. But then there are times when I may not want to wear a skirt either. But I'm glad I have the chance to choose.

@girlyboy9020 Depends on which skirt and which dress.  I think dresses put out a more feminine image in general, but I have a couple skirts I just love to wear.  J

@girlyboy9020 I like, love, to wear a dress. It is much more formal than a skirt. BTW, I have 40 dresses.

@girlyboy9020 I prefer dresses simply for the simple decision making. I feel a bit intimidated when asked to put together a good outfit of separates. I can pull together a classic look of course, but creativity is such a weak spot in my wardrobe!

@girlyboy9020 Honestly, the love them both. However, if I had to pick just one to wear from now on, I’d have to go with skirts by a hair. Maybe I haven’t found the right dress for yet, but my skirts make me feel even more feminine and that’s what I need and crave, that deliciously feminine feeling!

@girlyboy9020 Definitely skirts for now!  I am a size 16 top - possibly even larger with the new silicon forms + a size 10 bottom.   Hopeless with online shopping for dresses - either bursting out at the top or like a sack at the bottom.  Skirts + tops allow me some sort of figure!

Padded hip shapewear helping though!!!  I have always wanted one of those polka dot rockabilly dresses!  Maybe one day.

@girlyboy9020 This is hard for me to choose really as I do enjoy both but I guess it would be skirts as I do wear them more when just chilling around the house. I do love my denim minis and wear them the most.

Mine has to be dresses.

The reason is because that is what I wanted to wear as a child and feel they are so much more feminine. There are so many styles available so have them for work, day to day wear and special occasion. I am of the age when dressing for church or social occasions was the thing to do so reciprocate. I do wear skirts but very rarely.

I perfer to wear skirts usually. I just find the versatility and style combinations with skirts fun and when you get the right look, fascinating (Spock). Like a mystery putting combinations together. But I have more dresses than skirts, who knows.

Dresses, as they are definitively more feminine, as illustrated by the lovely photos featured on this site. However, skirts may be more convenient, especially when working from home 👩‍🔧

@astridt You are correct! Even looking at photos I’ve posted both here and on Reddit of myself wearing both dresses and skirts, I can tell that I can almost pass as a woman when I’m wearing a dress 👗!! I can’t say the same for the photos in which I’m wearing a skirt, I just look like a man wearing a feminine skirt.

i wear skirts in the summer, the shorter the better to show off my legs. in the winter i wear more dresses. they are a little longer, but still above my knees. then i wear them with knee high boots to keep my legs warm. i like a nice slit in the dress to show off a little leg. i love sweater dresses, nice and warm. sometime the dresses are a little too short so i wear them with a skirt to keep my ass from hanging out. i get more complements on my dresses. i love jean skirts, didn't think i would because they are blue and i don't have anything that is blue. now i have 3 jean skirts and think they look hot.

Although I thoroughly enjoy wearing a pretty dress, I prefer skirts because you can mix and match with different blouses.  Trying a new combination is almost like trying on a new dress for the first time.
