Many times I happened to talk, with my friends or with my work colleagues (bio-women), about the time dedicated to make up and skin care routine.
I have received the most varied responses from them on this topic and I am curious to find out more.
Personally, I spend about an hour on my daily makeup and a little more time on my skincare.
I answered 1 hour on skin care. In actuality it is probably a little less. After showering I use Oil of Olay on my face, Lubriderm on everything else from the neck down. I rarely use make up and only at home as I don't go out dressed. I'm still learning so the time varies depending on how much I'm putting on. I find my eyes taking the most time and that is a huge work in progress, mascara isn't too much of an issue but eye liner and eye shadow are a different story. My wife has helped me and I have tried to do what she has shown me, just need practice, practice, practice.

I don't do much on a daily basis but should! I don't apply makeup unless going out en femme, which is pretty rare these days due to many time pressures in life but used to be at least once a week, and many weekends. When I do that it takes me at least 1.5 hours to get ready. I'm always in awe of women being able to do it so quickly. For me, mascara is the most difficult part. I don't have pronounced lashes, and my eyesight is poor, so applying mascara effectively is challenging.
I am a trans woman, so my routine is a daily event.
I spend about 40 minutes applying my makeup each day in the morning, but as the beauty experts will tell you, the canvas must prepped and be in good condition before the paint is applied.
My skin care happens in the morning, in the evening, and overnight.
In the evening my makeup is removed, my facial skin and my lips get a scrub, several moisturizers are used and I apply an overnight moisturizing mask. I also apply a moisturizing lip gloss overnight.
In the morning I'll gently wash my face to remove the mask, then apply a primer before doing my foundation, which also contains moisturizers. Then the artist's palette of makeup goes on the amazing canvas!

I probably don't dedicate enough time to either! I'm generally trying to do a quick everyday makeup look so less that 1/2 hour is the norm. Morer formal occasions get the makeup time they need. I love the whole process of getting my feminine look so I tend to celebrate it when I get dressed for formal occasions.
Well I’m not full time but I do wash and moisturize my face daily. When I do my makeup I’ve gotten much better at applying it and in a lot less time as it use to take me. I really enjoy the process of putting on my makeup and love the finished look.
Don't worry....I just asking
I spend zero time daily on make-up and skin care. Your post made me ponder that maybe I should try some skin care. After all, i am not getting any younger.
Makeup depends on where I'm going or what I'm up to but skincare has become a routine along with better grooming such as eyebrows.
I noticed immediately after my permanent switch to good quality femme toiletries such as swapping shower gel from rugged he man super butch smell stuff (yes we've all been in denial) to something like Dove or using a mosituriser and splash of perfume as opposed to a bottle of aftershave my skin has visibly improved.
Even people who don't know Kay say I look healthier these days. I guess it's the above plus mental state.
None of the responses remotely applied, :). I spend 15 seconds per day on skincare. That would be in the shower, washing my face after shaving. I do use a product that is quite wonderful, though. It’s called Alpha Foaming Face Wash. It’s quite gentle, and even serves the purpose of soothing any razor burn.
I only apply makeup on rare occasions and I’m decent in my techniques, but could always improve. When I do apply it, it usually takes less than an hour. I really need a profession session to get the foundation coloring right.
As a bonus, the Alpha product is simply amazing at removing makeup, even lipstick staining.
I try to dress as often as I can but restrictions do hold me back. Thus, when I do my makeup it is usually light. I do, however, apply a moisturizer every morning g after I wash and clean my face. I have noticed a different, in fact, I have caught my wife “borrowing” it a few times, lol.
Hi girls,
My answers were 1 hour of skin care and 2 hours of makeup, although the latter varies depending on what I am going to do (it can go from a little over an hour to two hours), which is why I also chose the option of: Depending wherever I go. I personally don't have the opportunity to put on makeup every day, although I do have a skin care routine every day, my beauty routine, named that way by my family haha, and this take me every day almost the hour (50 minutes), I use legs cream, body cream, face cream and hands cream, togheter with a hair oil for my hair because yes, I like take care of my hair as of my body, even if it's for my masculine side because when I'm in femme I always wear a wig haha.
Greetings to all girls
Thank you for your reply, I am forced to use wigs due to the secondary effects of the chemotherapy cycles I was subjected to. But I love to use wigs.
You're welcome Greta and thank you for sharing that detail, I know how hard the chemotherapy treatment sessions are because my mom (RIP) suffered from breast cancer and hair loss is one of the many effects of this, so I'm glad to know that you love wearing wigs.
Greetings and I hope that you're well, Sofia
Me too! I take care of my hair and body too, and like you, I always wear a wig when I transform. Great minds think alike, girlfriend.
