The pictures posted here come in all sorts and are quite diverse & inclusive. ♥️ Like to hear from you what makes you decide to post or not, I'm always struggling with that myself.

@astridt My ultimate goal is to pass and just blend in, altho I am not sure that I will achieve that. When I go out, I look feminine and maybe pass at a distance

@dee2 sounds like your managing well! Going out myself is something that I've not yet dared, we'll see what the future brings.

@astridt If I felt capable of appearing on the cover of a fashion magazine.... I probably would have already done it, but unfortunately I am a normal transgender.

Therefore the photos I have published are the result of a glance of whoever took the shot and felt inspired by me at that moment.... nothing studied at the table as is done in a film or phojtographic production.

@mocha beauty is in the eye of the beholder, the one taking your Cyprus holiday picture caught it really well 😍

@astridt My dear Astrid

To be honest the photos of Cyprus were taken by my friend Greta (the one born a woman), my former classmate and still my best friend, with whom I went on vacation. If the pics are beautiful it is only thanks to her who knew how to capture my figure at the right moment.

@astridt I post a picture generally when I'm pleased with how I turned out. I am still exploring my look and trying different things.

There are outfits I would wear outside, others that I think would attract too much attention.

@astridt Personally I think trying to PASS is something that we all wish we could do but it's also something that very few of us can do. So many factors have to be present for the general public to really see us as a woman.

I prefer to look for acceptance. If my presentation, my mannerisms, my attitude all say "woman" then most will see that and accept me as such. People are very good at spotting things out of the norm. They will stare and scrutinize the odd and not average. Too tall, too short, too thin, too fat, your attire not appropriate for the location, activity, or venue. You don't have to be doing anything but if you don't fit what people expect to see they will stare and they will see tells.

Say I go to Walmart. If I'm wearing a beautiful dress, nice heels and perfect makeup whether I'm me or really a woman people will stare. They expect to see women in leggings, jeans, shorts and sneakers.

I believe that most of us would need lots of help to truly pass, but with just a little effort we can all be accepted. For me that's the goal. Just let me express myself, don't judge me and let's all get along.

@cherylt your reply put things in perspective, by laying emphasis on acceptance, rather than passing.

@astridt I answered picture perfect, like when one shoots, they always aim for the bullseye. They also never hit it every time! Happy Woman Face

@geniv_cd yes, I can see from your pics that you took the cover of a magazine literally, fun to watch 😀

@astridt Oh if I were able to be out in public at the age that those magazine cover photos depicted, I would have been in heaven! I have said this before and it fits this discussion. Too many GG’s take their femininity for granted. We on the other hand pay very close attention to it. So my answer of trying for “ picture perfect” was true whether I was in a dress out for an evening event, or in simple jeans and a top grocery shopping. I did my best to be as perfect as nature and my ability allowed when presenting as Genivieve.

@astridt It's got to be just about the dress - in my case, the girl isn't anything anyone would be interested in.  I don't post very often (I've had some very bad experiences on this site in the past) but I just want to be recognised!!!  I AM Alice as well as my boy identity.  It's just nice to see the photos on here - a lot of the girls won't think they look very good, but they are showing who they really are - and that's what it all should be about... surely?  (And don't call me Shirley... though a lot of the ladies out there would be happy with that!!!)  Alice XXX

@shortskirtslonglegs hi Alice, you make me think about who I really want to be, the woman I have an idealized image about, or just a man that likes to dress, or something in between. Thanks for giving me food for thought xxx Astrid

I don't get to dress often and when I do and have the time to take photos I love to share and I will post the best picture that I was able to take.  I like to look my best in photographs that I share that are self portraits.  However, if I was out and about and the photo was trying to share a place or an event successfully accomplishing that would be more important than how I looked in the picture.

@michellemybell yes Michelle, your pictures do show an eye for detail and composition. Credits to you SO or do you use a timer? Either way, you've passed with high marks!

Thanks Astrid.  I was using a timer but now I have a stylus with my phone that I can use as a remote trigger.  My SO does not want to see me dressed which is the main reason I don't get to dress very often.

Most of the time when I dress I try to be as near to perfect as I can possibly be. I may not always (or ever!) actually achieve that 🙂

I don't often take photographs these days like I used to when I was in the closet, as I dress most of the time and I don't seem to have the need to capture those 'stolen moments' of dressing-up freedom like I used to. Nonetheless, I usually dress and make-up as though I were going to be photographed.

When it comes to posting pics, I will only show those in which I think I look good enough - makeup on point, nice pose, as femme (and perhaps even 'sexy') and 'non-bloke' as possible.

I always strive for perfection, knowing full well that will never be achieved. For me that  includes not only the best presentation i can manage but also the photograph itself. I'm always looking for the  the proper lighting, composition, color accuracy etc. When I do a photo session I take dozens of pics and if I have three to post I feel it has been successful. it can be humbling at times, so I'm glad I enjoy the process!

@krisburton sounds familiar! Both a blessing and a curse that you have so many digital settings, but worth the effort if the result finally is what you hoped for, even when not perfect 😊

For me it is memories of outings.  I do not get out very often so enjoy taking pictures to remember those moments I did.

I don't feel I am transgendered in any way.  I just enjoy the crossdressing.  I very much enjoy my guy time as well. It is almost like an artist creating a masterpiece.  Can I create that master piece and present it to the public for review?

I try to appear as femme as possible, but know I don't pass up close and I don't worry about it. I just enjoy my time out and try to be a good representitive for our community.

@astridt For me, honestly, it's joy, I think. Sort of an inner, "OMG look at this one!"

I don't think, 'I love this dress' or 'what a great pose' or anything like that. It's about the sum of the parts. Does the entire photo convey what I feel Melodee represents? If yes - post. If no...I mean keep it anyway, but no need to subject anyone else to it. lol

I guess maybe the analogy is that I don't care about the trees, if it's a great looking forest.

Maybe? 🤔 It's got me thinking and that's means it's a good question!

I don't dress to pass as a lady, l dress only at home to be comfortable as when l put make-up on etc l don't pass as a lady very well, however l used to pass when l was younger. I wear skirts at home mostly but when l go out it's as a guy in a kilt.

I dress to pass in so far as that’s possible for me. I sometimes cheat a bit by choosing an outfit that will divert attention to my legs!

I don't dress for the photo shoots, I dress to make me feel happy inside. I'm never overly dressed, more androgynous, but to me I know I'm dressed and I feel it inside.

Al-tho when I do plan on taking a picture, I do try my best to be the best looking woman that I can be.

A lot of my photos on here are the outfits I wore at various milestones or enjoyable outings during the evolution of my dressing (or more accurately, in my transition), taken later on at home to give me something to remember those experiences by.  Other times I've just been trying out combinations from my wardrobe to see what looks good.  But my favourites are the ones where I'm actually out there having fun with my CDH sisters - and the best of those are in their photos rather than mine.  This one is a case in point.

@finallyfiona Yes, trying to look pretty on your own is nice, but cannot compete to being one of four pretty girls out in the wild 😊

I would love to be picture perfect but back in the real world being good enough to get on with my day will do. Like anyone who has a picture taken there is that worry it may not be 'The best side' or you have the wrong pose or a funny facial expression. Every now and again there is one that has you saying 'Yessss', that's a nice one' whether it was down to the shading lighting, flash used or just lucky.

Looking back on my photos from yesteryear to today I can see the style develop and that, alas, I am getting older but still retain my fashion sense.

@ab123 Yes, aging gracefully is a challenge for all women. Making a "yesss" picture is probably a combination of patience, some skill and a lot of luck, but worth the effort, when it finally comes together.

Great question. Simple answer. My aim is to have a good time dressed. That's what I treasure.

For me, photographs serve to perpetuate a moment in memory and establish a reference in time. They are pure emotion and joy at the moment and probable nostalgia in the future. So I try to dress as well as possible without obsessing about my figure. At the end of the day, I am who I am and I don't have to pretend to be someone else to please others or be happy.

Otherwise, appearances vary from photo to photo depending on angle, lighting, makeup, and several other factors. I also works with AI generated images. It is fun. Today anything is possible and the world is moving forward at a fast pace
