CDH@LFF – our big UK meet up on August 1st 2025

As it draws closer, and our plans for the day continue to develop, more details will be added to that post.
However, we've reached the point where it would be good to have a ballpark figure of how many members to expect. This will enable us to work out how many welcome packs to produce, how many badges to make, how many maps to order, how best to deploy 'Big Sisters', how many Significant Others Laura can expect for her breakaway meet-up and so on.
We're all working hard to make sure that everyone has the best possible experience 🙂
We're aware that peoples' plans may change, so we'll do put up another snapshot poll closer to the actual date.
If you plan to be in Leeds on Thursday 31st July (the day before our event) it would be helpful if you could record that in a reply below.

I will be staying over on the Thursday. I have said that I will be attending on my own (i.e. no significant other) but will be travelling up with others on the Thursday. I doubt we will need a big sister but we still want to meet and get to know as many other CDH members as possible.

I'm not sure at the moment as we haven't booked the train journey yet. Two of us have said we will travel together if possible but another girl will either come with us or make her own way to Leeds. Another girl has said she will be driving up on the Friday.

If this is someone's first time out dressed, and they're feeling apprehensive and nervous, then a Big Sister is a more experienced crossdresser who will act as moral support until they've found their feet.
@ellyd22 - I asked because my knowledge of Leeds could be written on the back of a postage stamp with room to spare.
I see that some of the girls are staying at a Travelodge, can anyone tell me where it is from the train station? And, where is the event from said Travelodge?
I don't know if I can make it yet, too soon to tell, but I will be on my own, unless anyone would like to meet me in Manchester or Leeds,
Travelodge Leeds Central (the one at Blayd's Yard, where most of us are staying) is 0.1 miles from Leeds Railway Station 🙂
It's postcode is LS1 4AD. Enter that into Streetmap online and you'll see just now close it is to the station.
The Travelodge is exactly where the event itself is. The closest of the venues is less than 100 yards away.

I would love to attend. But I'm committed to going to the Atlanta Confort Conference. Leeds is a definite Bucket 🪣 List item!

@ellyd22 Hi Ellie, Sorry I've not replied earlier, not been on the site for a while so playing 'catch up'. I've booked the hotel for Thursday and Friday and hope to meet up with you on the Thursday although I appreciate the 'main' events are on the Friday. I will be travelling up by train with another member.
Quick check ... did you complete the poll?
I think there will be a fair few of us on the Thursday, so that should be a fun day too 🙂

@ellyd22 Hi Ellie, Yes, I went for the 'Attending on my own' but I will be with other members of the Chameleons group from Nottingham, so I don't think we will need a 'Big sister'. I am sure there will be other girls to help boost our confidence.

@ellyd22 Hi Ellie, Yes, that was me, and it worked the other way round as 3 girls from Chameleons are now on CDH. Actually there may be more as I haven't met all the girls there.
For me, Chameleons has been the 'next step' as I can spend a few hours as Rosalind, almost out in the real world. LFF is going to be that last big step. Well maybe I will be 'out and about' before then. 
@rosalinddemuire You will be 'out and about' as Rosalind before LFF if I have anything to do with it. 😀

I have booked to stay at the Travelodge too arriving on the Thursday! OMG! The last time I went out en femme was probably ten years ago! I'm thinking I'll be brave, but as we get closer to the time I may need a Big Sister's help 🙂

If you're there on the Thursday as well, as several other members plan to be, we can go out for a meal then as well. Although there will still be a lot going on in the Freedom Quarter it will be significantly quieter than on the Friday, when the big influx arrives.

The Freedom Quarter of Leeds is such a friendly, safe environment that even those who opt for a Big Sister may well just want to do their own thing after the first few hours, once they've made contact with other CDH members.
None of us will ever be more than a few hundred yards away from the others, and everyone will have numbers to ring.

I should be in Leeds on the Thursday. Currently thinking of traveling up on the Wednesday, and make a mini break of it.
There are a whole bunch of us there for the Thursday as well as the Friday, with most staying in the Leeds Central Travelodge in Blayd's Yard, off Swinegate.
If you've never been to Leeds before, you might very well love it! I've found it to be a very friendly part of the world.
I've put 'not sure yet' because the Time family might be on holiday that weekend - I'll know better soon I hope 🙂

It's taking place during our annual visit to see my partner's family - and my 3-weeks of necessary drabness. On the plus side, it is in France, so it's not all bad.
It sounds very interesting but I seem to be on the wrong side of the Atlantic.
Love to visit the UK sometime though and see the places me family came from, so maybe another year.
