Hi girls,
I've just got my D sized forms, and am enjoying trying out my clothes to see how they work compared to the Cs I've been using. One or two tops are a bit on the tight side now, but I'm already sold on Ds. My band size is 40 , so I think they give me a better shape up top.
I thought it might be interesting to get a snapshot of what others on CDH prefer via a poll. Will we, like many internet surveys tell us about bust sizes, average out on a D too?
Don't forget you can also tick whether it's your own breasts, or forms.
By all means add a comment. As if you wouldn't 😉

I chose C cup right at the start of my crossdressing and have kept it ever since. My band is 42" and after experimenting with rice sizers up to E cup, I came to the conclusion that the C cup was the most apt for me. I don't want to stand out in a crowd. 😉
38 C with forms is my current favorite. Getting the right look is a challenge because of the overall larger chest size of men. The cups need to be full enough to show, As and Bs just kind of disappear, but because of our more barrel chests, too big a cup size quickly become too big and just make our larger chest look wrong and draw too much attention to the odd shape and hence make us look less femme and more obviously a CD.
I don't know the size of my forms in letters but they are a size 7 which looks to me to be around C cup. My bra though is a 42A which is the right size for the forms so go figure.
I had C cups but I had a bra fitting at a local Lingerie store and the owner of the store told me I should have DD cups so I ordered those. So now I have C cup and DD cup forms
I voted B, D, & E as I have forms in all 3 sizes. I like the every-other-size options to go with various looks.
However, I wear the Ds probably 80% of the time, the Bs 15%, and the Es rarely just for fun.
I have a B and a C cup forms, bra band 46.
When it comes time to replacing or buying new forms I go down to A or even AA. I find C is on the big side.
I use forms and currently go with B size. I prefer to blend in when being out and about so I don't want my boobs to attract extra attention.
Having said that, I'm seriously considering moving up to C size the next time I buy forms. They should still work fine on my frame. I just hope it's not the guy side (bigger is better) taking to me for C's.
On my own, I'm between an AA and an A. Adding my regular forms that I wear all day every day, I'm a perfect fit for a 38C. I have a larger set for those 'what the hell' times that are kept in check by a 38DD bra, as long as it's full-cup 🙂
Hi Emma, I'm a 36 large A or small B naturally grown. I'm 5 foot 5 and weight 120 with a small frame. Daily I usually wear a Maidenform T-shirt bra but will wear a push-up bra or even add an enhancer if I think that an outfit needs more "youthfulness". lol, Mostly I just try to make things fit my body shape. I'm a 38A without forms. I have two sets of forms that make me a B or a C, depending on my mood.
I answered with the cup size I go for when all dressed up. I have a set of homemade forms and a set of silicone swim forms that are based on weight more than the standard cup measurement. I usually buy a 36c bras, and the forms I bought fit that size well. That seems to balance pretty well with my upper body. As a guy, I'm not very muscular, but as a woman I look like a body builder (or a guy in a dress, lol), so a bit smaller breast (like a female athlete) seems to work pretty well.
As a general rule, like most things when dressing up, you have to try different things until you find what works. For me, I look better with a smaller cup size. I think a lot of beginning cross dressers go way too big when they start. Certainly there are woman of all shapes and sizes, but breasts that are too large feels like a cross dresser stereotype. If you're just starting out, when in doubt, go smaller.
It also depends a lot on the outfit. Some clothes look better with a bit smaller, others with a bit larger. You just have to experiment a bit until you get a look you're happy with. Different bra shapes make a difference too. I always strive for the roundest styles, but if you go for more pointed styles (more retro 60's look) then it change.
Here are some tips for getting the balance right. These work with my body, but might not apply to everyone.
1. If you're sitting at a desk or table and put your elbows down and your hands under your chin, do you gently feel the forms touching your upper arm? Your breasts should fit in that space between your arms and body when you're leaning forward like that. If you feel them pushing against your forearms, they're probably way too big.
2. If you fold your arms, do your breast forms seem to fit within the space your folded arms make comfortably. If it's hard to fold your arms, they might be too big, or maybe too low.
3. When you're walking and take a look at the ground (to avoid tripping in your heels), if you're looking about 5-10 feet in front of you, you should just see your breasts in your peripheral vision. If you're looking straight ahead and can still see them, they're probably too big (or maybe too high). Or, sitting in a straight back chair, look down at your knees, you should just see the breasts coming into your peripheral vision.
4. I think that for a balanced look, your breasts should stick out about as much or slightly more than the extra padding in your hips. For most outfits, I always wear hip pads, and the looks I like the best seem to kind of match the hips up with the breasts.
5. Be sure your bra straps are adjusted correctly. If the bra sits too high or too low, it will look weird. Put your arm alongside your body, then bend it 90 degrees at the elbow. Your bra strap and forms should sit somewhere close to the inside of that angle in your elbow. A lot of fitted blouses or dressed have seems that create the right shape to go around your breasts, use these seems to help get this adjustment right.
I am a little overweight, not a lot, but enough to have a little belly. I wear a D cup because this allows me to wear loose tops which hang straight down from my forms, clearing my stomach and hey presto, no belly. The type of top I wear, being loose, and the size of breasts being large enough for my frame, also remove the necessity for hip pads too since my hips cannot be seen anyway.
This may give you the impression that I am merely a pair of walking breasts with some appendages, but IMHO, this doesn't appear to be the case. Have a look at my photos, in none of them am I wearing any prosthetics except for breast forms. I think it works for me. Other folk might want more shape but I am in my seventies and a seventy year old woman is not generally concerned with the shape of her figure.

My natural size is an Acup , i can fit snuggly in an Acup , if i was to get some forms i would get either a B or a C cup, i wouldn't like to draw to much attention to myself with anything bigger,

A simple question which of course has engaged the membership. Look Emma, (I say this a lot 😂), I'm no expert. I'm quite a large framed girl. My band size is 42. But I favour a modest bosom, so I go with a B. Perhaps a bit small for my figure. I don't usually speak out of turn, but for me, when I look at the lovely ladies' pics here, for me there are probably more girls whose boobs look too big than too small. I guess that's to be expected given what we do here.
I have a makeover coming up in a couple of weeks and I'm hoping we'll have time to experiment with different cup sizes. Maybe I can stretch to a C. It's going to be such fun.
Hugs, Chrissie xx.
