Hello...I'm barely awake, but I needed to write this....
Today, for the first time since I have been a member....the general forum is stuck with virtually the same 10 posts all day!!!
I know there has been anti humour posts ..too much triviality and digressing from the " support sites goals".....by the way, the pink or blue panties poll passes 250 votes!!!
Serious subjects are bypassed and " fun" gets more reaction and response.......but why???
Firstly...I am guilty of flooding this place with fun...
I'm also answering every call for help and advice that I can answer.
I am not a " thanks collector", I like to think I EARN THEM....that comment hurt me!!!!!..no names.
I have read, re read and answered the same posts all day ..not ignoring any of them ( unless they don't apply....I cannot get to Vegas for Halloween )....I hope it's a glitch, the system has been odd for the last few days. Hopefully tomorrow the general forum will be back to normal....but I digress...
I just wondered if the powers that be could insert a forum for fun, comedy, happy thoughts and madness.....so the general forum could be left to " serious subjects"...then we would know where to go for a laugh ....or where to go to help someone in need.....
I'm so happy to help, but I'm also so happy to laugh....if the two cannot mix...then so be it.

I've only just come back from a few days away so I'm not aware of any recent groundswell of opinion for 'serious' stuff. Posts are what posts are - they're either earnest, or thoughtful, or well, lighter stuff. I'm not quite sure why humour can't be part and parcel of most threads anyway. Are girls really so bothered that they don't post serious stuff in case their thread gets highjacked by someone seeing humour in some aspect or other? I've never seen insensitivity in evidence when someone post an obviously serious post
Having said that, whatever the site managers decide is OK by me. I'll just have to find my humour 'on / off' switch. I'm sure it's there somewhere.

Seriously, I'm torn on this. While I absolutely agree that a bit of humor in good spirit is a healthy and beneficial thing, I'm unsure whether it warrants its own forum, as one could easily post a humorous thread in either the General or possibly even Arts forums without raising too many threaded eyebrows.
If the mods decide it would be beneficial, however, I expect to spend a good amount of time there.

the problem is......there's too much " going on that's not supportive " in general chat, and it's upsetting people....fair comment...so I suggested it goes into another forum...nothing else xx
been on a bit of a road trip, came third in my teams first pub quiz in almost 2 years, rubbed my pregnant daughters 6 month sized belly, had the crack with a guy doing 14 years, but trusted to run the prison shop, visited a wonderful buddhist retreat in lake district territory (just passing through), caught up with some dear old friends I hadn't seen for over 2 years , and even a nightmare 5 hours trapped by a huge traffic jam on the M6 ... 1200 miles in 6 days. Although it was still nice to be back and to my own bed and satin to sleep in.
And CDH of course.

I think the General forum can take a bit of humour, but perhaps there could be a forum for the really silly stuff called CDH Comedy Central… or something like that.
I'm sure someone could come up with a better title though!!!

Hi Grace it doesn't matter if they do a humorous forum i shall still read them, humour is part and parcel of everyday life most people know when things are funny and when things are more serious, we know when to give our support when things get difficult for people,
But without your uplifting humorous annicdote's (I must get a dictionary) to lift our spirits now and again this world would be a sad place X
