It's Saturday morning here in a very wet England....do you need a grin?????

Just a quickie...but I thought it was hilarious...

In the UK at the moment, we have a petrol shortage due to a lack of tanker drivers....so on BBC news, there is a reporter at a petrol station, telling how people are starting to collect petrol in receptacles, even though their cars tanks are full....the reporters name was

.....Phil McCann!!!!!

it's true....Google it!!!

Happy weekend!!!!!

Grace ❤️ ❤️

Oh Grace

Just when I am starting to loose all faith in some of the people and the media in the UK over their selfish attitude towards the situation we find ourselves in, you immediately pulled the rabbit out of the hat with this one and brought a smile to my face right away.

Thank you

A now smiling and a bit happier Samantha x

And the people that followed a tanker for miles hoping to be first in the queue when it was delivered to a petrol station. Unfortunately it ended its journey at a building site as it was carring mortar. 😄 🤣

Hi Grace you have done it again, brought a smile on everyone's face, it's getting rediculas ,I must learn how to spell, I went to Tesco's to do some shopping on Monday last I always go at 8 in the morning cos there's not a lot of people around then, but there was a que for the petrol station at that time in the morning, to go round the car's i had to go round a small roundabout the wrong way round it, I'm glad it was on the shop grounds and not on the main road,

Here is to all the smiles 😂😂😊 you will bring to us Grace X

Huggs Roz X

I've just read in the news paper a circus owner has said there's a shortage of Clown's , I don't think he's looking in the right place he should be looking on the petrol station forecourts there's plenty of Clown's there, lol X

You have to laugh Grace or you will cry with the situation here.

I had an incident that was perhaps a benefit in the end...

Last week I was away up T'North for a week away. On the Wednesday I had a filling fall out and chipped a tooth while eating Museli. I called my dentist back home and she could see me the next day, Thursday. I cut my break short and drove home  and on return filled my empty tank. On the Friday the papers ran with the sensationalist headlines of fuel shortages. Mayhem ensued. You tube was full of idiots. One lady emptying water bottles and filling them with fuel. Chaps with plastic buckets lined with plastic bags filling them up. Fights, queuing for an hour to put a couple of quids worth of fuel in and general Jackass moments.

I am a care worker and, by fate, I had enough fuel to last. I got to half tank and saw a short queue and filled again, as I normally do at half mast. So all is fine with me and doing my normal thing.

For ages we had plenty of fuel and tanker drivers, no issues at all. Then on the Friday the media went into overdrive and the good Ol' public duly panicked and fuel stations ran dry. Now there is a shortage of drivers as they can't keep up with the demand.

Now there was no problem at all before hand. There is still the same amount of tanker drivers and a plentiful supply of fuel as before so how can there be a shortage forecast?

Is this a case of papers creating news and playing politics? Perish the thought!

I think you have hit the nail on the head Angela media and politics, and money making.
The BBC openly blamed Brexit,, and sarcastically had a swipe with the reporter stunt as only a few garages had actually run out of fuel, as for the papers, well headlines sells papers for their barons.
Oil barons well it started years ago as they suffocated small garages with their greed, and years of low wages to drivers. If you see panic buying as we did with the supermarkets why then don't the corporations take steps to control it immediately? "profits" . Panic is extremely profitable and easy to start

Thank you, for the smile, your Grace,
It always amazes me, how the media can create such pandemonium in any society, and that the people just keep falling for it? people are so foolish, smh

Exactly Amanda. The media fused together a lot of issues. Tanker drivers are not H.G.V. drivers as they have more qualifications and probably get paid more than a standard HGV. They are also not sleeping in their cabs either. Of course there aren't enough tanker drivers as the quadrupling of demand means they can't keep up.

I don't doubt there is a shortage of HGV drivers due to multiple reasons and in the run up to Christmas there is need for more as demand goes up, that's normal. The post office is doing its seasonal recruitment for extra postal staff as the demand goes up.

There is no shortage in real terms as we are still getting fuel in our vehicles and food on the table and dresses to wear. Until we stop panicking and, a big ask, for us public to be sensible we will go from one panic to another.

It's the same everywhere, I guess. A while back we had the pipeline shut down that supplies fuel to the mid Atlantic states caused by a ransomware attack, and even though there was still has available there were lines like crazy.

Can't believe they sent that guy to report that story though, too funny! Thanks, Grace!

Totally agree Angela,
If you can't switch off human selfishness and greed how on earth are we going to tackle climate change.
No chance,
