While not to the same extent, it reminds me of a few years ago when my wife had brain surgery. Sometimes our wants and needs are trumped by those around us. Happy Birthday to your wife and take care of her! There is always another day to dress. Just do what is right in your heart, you will always have this community dressed or in drab....
Fiona,
I'm so sorry to hear the reason for your absence here, and I can relate. I care for a disabled wife, and myself had heart surgery a few years ago. Sending prayers and hope things will return to some semblance of normality soon. Hugs from across the pond.

Wow Fiona.., I remember reading you post earlier in the year but don't think I saw the full details if you posted them. I hope continue to arrest strong with her. seems like you have a fighter and that is awesome. I sincerely hope the best for both of you. An ill spouse can be stressful but it shows how much she means to you. If you never to talk feel free to reach out at anytime. I will try to answer ASAP.
Good luck Fiona-Ann.
I hope your wife pulls through okay and you both have a long life of joy and happiness.

Wow that is some really heavy stuff. So sorry to hear. I can relate as my wife has some chronic health issues and was hospitalized 5x in the last couple years with a couple really big scares. I've felt that same guilt about wanting to be me but I have to take care of her as she is my soul mate and best friend.
Anyway, hang in there and I'll keep you and your wife in my prayers.
Thanks,
Pam
Hi Fiona,
You’ve had a hell of a year. My wish for your wife on her birthday is a return to good health and a long and happy life.
