So I was doing some window shopping online (hey it's always free right?) Anyway, I always love looking at the beautiful dresses, skirts, tops, and bras that are offered. Still I was a bit taken aback by the lack of sizing they offer. Now yes I do understand that these clothes are designed for women, and yes I think there are a few places that do offer clothing for crossdressers.
Still the lack of sizing has always bothered me, I feel like even as crossdressers we are forced into that small narrow window of you need to be a insert size here kinda person. Most of the really amazing designs are for women under size 10. Even the items on the plus sized end of the spectrum are well not that amazing all the time. Sure a few items work and look amazing, but those are the diamonds in the ruff.
So a thought occured to me, now another of the ladies here had sparked the idea of a fashion show for crossdressers and I love the idea. Though why should we model clothing designed originally for certain sizes of women?
Don't get me wrong I love women's clothing, though I feel like maybe just maybe we could get the same designs, but figured to not only fit our frames and bodies, but still look as womanly as the other designs do?
Just a thought?
Hey Jessica, actually there is at least one company that does this, xdress.com has made men's style lingerie/nightwear/underwear for years now. Not sure if anyone else does, you'd have to google I suppose, but there are men's feminine lingerie sites out there that specifically cater to men.
Hi Jessica I want to to wear what most woman want to to wear. I am not interest in woman's clothes designed to fit the male form Not sure if you have shopping for men's clothes in a while but there is so many more mens clothes have similar colors and styles to woman's now. If you are talking about dresses and skirts. The female shape is what I prefer and would like to emulate Great subject but just not for me. Luv Stephanie
Hi Jessica,
I shop in person whenever possible; I want to see the fabric and try it on when possible. I've had many disappointments when I see a dress or top I adore - and they only have sizes 3,5 and 7. Still, your complaint makes me realize what a lucky girl I am....a 10 or a 12 will almost always fit me. My feet, on the other hand (13W) are like finding a pretty dress in size 18 or 22, and I envy the girls with tiny feet.
Hugs,
Bettylou
I have two outfits from www.enfemme style.com both fit amazing and are of very high quality.
