I just wanted to take the time to thank every single member of CDH. This group is inspirational and such a Godsend. I found you all last year and cautiously joined. As I explored, I learned that I was not alone, far from it. The stories I read were stories that I had experienced. I have slowly grown into more use of the CDH site. I post much more and I even shared photos. What really caught me by surprise was the emotion I felt when I had somebody to tell about my little trip to Ulta where I spoke to a worker about makeup techniques while in male mode. I am 52 years old, and have been crossdressing since I was about 8-10 years old. I have NEVER been able to share anything with anyone. My wife and adult daughter know of Danni, but they don't get it like you all do. Because CDH exists, I was able to hop on my phone and immediately share this moment with friends. The ability to do that made the moment even more special for me. Going home and keeping that to myself for the rest of my life would not have been ideal.
This site has opened me up and helped me grow so much. I cannot explain how important you all are to me and each other. I am at a much better place now and my self-loathing is gone. The support and understanding offered here is life-changing.

@dannydior301 Danni, I so much agree with your sentiments about CDH. That first time out as your feminine self and the first time opening up to someone else are HUGE steps.
One of my first time opening up was with a former coworker and the first time I went to Ulta to have my hair colored.
Even today as I present as Cassie full time I often get stressed out about going out. I so much hope you can keep going out and doing what feels right for you and may you find acceptance everywhere.

@harriette I was a bit slow at first, but once I felt that it was safe and I trusted everyone I really started to blossom. Like I said, this group has made my life so much happier. You can’t be like us and not talk about it for 40 years! Maybe that’s why I ramble on so much…I have to make up for all the years I had to be quiet.

@dannydior301 Danni you remind me of ME! (Just ask Angela Wagner). When I first joined I couldn’t STFU! I had many, many questions. Angie was quite gracious and answered everything I asked. Heck, I’m still learning new things on how to navigate CDH.
Not to get too deep - but I think as we age there’s a tendency to think: “Is this all there is?” Life gets routine and the days resemble each other. Being a crossdresser enables one to have another, secret life. Not everybody gets to know about it. The “Secret Society of Girls”, I like to call it. Membership is VERY exclusive.🥰
@gracepal So glad to be a card carrying member! Image if the world was like that. Where people were accepting and envious of our membership in the “Secret Society of Girls”. Where we were revered because we were lucky enough to be part of a special community. A world where men would be begging to get taught the beautiful art of cross dressing. Where we were the Queens and others wanted to be us…oh, sorry…got carried away. A girl can dream! 🤣😆
@dannydior301 Danni, with reference to another secret group of people, my band played a party for a masonic lodge last night. There were some interminably long boring speeches and I found myself replacing each occurrence of 'freemasonry' with 'crossdressing'. Made the speeches a whole lot more entertaining 😂 xx.

I haven't been able to take those steps yet, but I agree wholeheartedly with everything you say about this wonderful community. I get so much comfort and validation from the girls here. I so value feeling a part of such a supportive site.

I think you really nailed how valuable CDH is with that statement Danni. I’ve always accepted that crossdressing is a mostly solitary endeavor. Thankfully I have a wife who knows how important it is to “find one’s tribe.” That is the best feature of CDH. As trivial as it may seem, sometimes a girl just wants to chat with other “girls” about lingerie and makeup. And other ways to make ourselves cuter than we already are!🤣
@gracepal like the song says, "one is the loneliest number that you'll ever do". CDH ensures that never happens again.

Definitely! Especially for those of us who aren't "out" to their families, this is a great place to share milestones and get that glam advice! No matter where we are on the CD/TG spectrum.
