Hi all,
Well, I managed to find someone who offers a small cross dressing service, and went up yesterday. She was ever so friendly and accommodating, and obviously a lot younger than me. We started with a chat, and over a nice cup of tea worked out what we could manage in the time available.
She was keen to understand what I was hoping for, and I was keen to make sure she understood I wanted her to put in her two pennyworth, given my lack of experience. And then I got into a bit of dressing up. I did take a few of my things up, and I preferred to keep it simple with my own forms and favourite bra, but in the end what she had in her 'wardrobe' to choose from satisfied me.
So I tried one or two things, and she had a go at the age ravaged face of mine We did a lbd session , and then I got hung up on a silvery dress but this time, with a blonde wig – wigs are new to me - and immediately fell in love with this one. If you have long hair, you don't think of wigs – well I didn't. But I do now!
And at the end, over another lazy cup of tea, we were just sat there having another natter face to face. The very first person I've met in real life as a cross dresser. It seemed so normal, that the buzz only bubbled up later. I hope I didn't overstay my welcome by whittering on.
All in all, a day I'll remember fondly.
I suppose I'll have to allay your curiosity, so I've put a couple of teasers in my public photos, and added a few more in my private area, while I trawl through the photos.
I can't help but think, this wouldn't have happened if I hadn't had the luck to find my way here to cdh and everything and everyone that cdh embodies. Thank you all very, very much.

Oh I'd love to try a CD service. I wonder what an expert could do to my craggy sunburnt mush and gangly body.....

I have gone 3 times to a Crossdressing service and had wonderful times especially the last time. I brought some of my own wardrobe and the lady who worked with me came up with perfect look in terms of wig and makeup. Only bad thing was it was only 2 hour session - only got to wear 3 of my outfits had brought more. Looking forward to doing another session when wife goes off on next day trip. I have 3 pics in private photos section within my account so you can see what I am talking about.

Yes, I already noticed that there's never enough time. It's almost as if time speeds up while you're in the zone, and you don't get through as much. But on the plus side it's a good excuse to go back and finish off whaatever else you missed!

I had the exact experience. I turned up at the private home of the CD makeup artist and sat in my car thinking what am I doing. But as soon as I went inside the home and met the person who was older than me, I felt this exactly what I needed to do. Like you Marti, we spent many hours talking and it was awesome. It felt so right.

I am so happy for you Marti. Personally I think your natural hair looks fine and, with the make up looks perfectly acceptable for a lady of a certain age.
You are lucky to have hair! If you are going further in thinking of going out you could consider having your own hair styled as some girls here do. Please don't be offended, but to me the blond wig is a bit 'too' blond for you. I made this mistake early on and my sisters said it stood out too much when I went out and didn't suit. I really liked it but took the advice and found one that was a shade darker and highlighted, like the one in my picture that I settled with. The rest is history.
I hope you get back to the dressing service and can play around with looks and find the real you.

I would love to have a session like that, I am pretty happy with the look I achieve,, but I would love to see what a professional could do with me.

_ I'm not offended at all, I know any advice on CDH is always well meant, especially from someone who has been 'there' before. I'm not 'going out' yet, so I guess I have time to make similar "not sure that works" experiments Thanks for your suggestions, much appreciated 😉
