I've been badly stressed at work lately, get home exhausted, wake up in the middle of the night thinking about this or that work related thing, and haven't even been here much lately. It was really getting me down, and my wife was concerned. I'm working a rotating shift schedule that includes a four day break once a month, and that started this past weekend.
Well, my wonderful wife suggested last week that we do something to help me unwind and lower my stress. So I said why don't we spend a couple days out at the oceanfront in Virginia Beach? Stay at a hotel on the boardwalk overlooking the beach. She says that was a great idea, but that she should take Bridgette. And so we did. Two days at the beach, no boy clothes at all.
So this was my first trip anywhere as Bridgette, the first time I got to spend a whole weekend dressed as a girl. We even went dress shopping together. 🛍 We had such a great time together, it was magical!
So we started Saturday morning by going to our nail salon to get our feet done. This time I got a beautiful dark blue (as always with sparkles!), and my wife went back to a deep red. We then went to pick up a couple pairs of shoes from the repair shop, went home and packed. That morning I wore Daisy Dukes, a silk pale rose colored blouse, heeled thong sandals, and no makeup.
We got to the hotel, I changed into a python print blouse, bra, forms, sailor jeans and grey booties with a 4 inch stilletto heel, my short red wig and an evening makeup look. We got some pizza at a place we like there and walking back to the hotel, my wife sees a little dress shop and we go in. The lady running the shop was from Israel, which I've actually been to and we chatted happily. She found two dresses that fit my wife perfectly and showed her best assets well. We got back to the hotel and spent the evening sitting on the balcony watching people on the beach and boardwalk, and the ships coming and going out in the channel until the stars came out.
Sunday morning we got up, I put on a no makeup look using a nude pallet from Rimmel that I now adore. That was my first use of it. Then dressed in panties, bra, forms, cheetah print skirt and black top with a row of pretend pearls sewn into the collar, and my red wig. I'll post a picture to the public gallery. We went out and got breakfast and walked about doing some more people watching. We did have an errand to run due to a pre-existing appointment, but we're back at the beach in just an hour or two.
I decided I wanted to go back to the dress shop, as I'd seen something I liked there too. So back we went, and I ended up with two new dresses also! We went back to the hotel again, did our nails while sitting on the balcony again, changed into our new dresses and went out for dinner. I'll post a picture of that dress too. That night we sat out until late again and went to bed very happy.
This morning we both slept in longer than we have in an age, just letting the last night there last as long as we could. We packed up, had breakfast, and came home. I feel so much better now. I'm so blessed to have the wife I have, who told me to bring Bridgette. She said "You've been so stressed lately, I thought that since Bridgette didn't work at the shipyard, she'd be able to relax completely"... my wife is a real keeper!
Sorry for posting a book, but there was so much I wanted to say. This was a great weekend, and a great example of a trans gurl having fun out and about all weekend surrounded by lots of folks, and nobody saying one word. The lady at the dress shop most definitely knew, she was fitting me and giving wonderful advice about how to best deal with my shape.

What a lovely partner you have and what a way to unwind. Lets hope this is followed by seconds. So happy for you.
Now that's a getaway. And maybe I should check out Virginia Beach. So glad you have the opportunity to do trips like that with the SO. I have a great girl that goes with me too. It is so much better with company.
Trisha.
Hi Bridgette, thank you for such a lovely description of your trip! It must be so special to be able to spend time with your wife as her best GF. She is such a special woman! And so are YOU!!
Hugs,
Brielle

Thanks Bridgette, for the wonderful story of your weekend. You are so blessed to have a SO who is so understanding. These are the type of stories that encourage everyone here to get out there to explore their feminine sides. As I write this I am dressed ready to go out to my local Ulta store to get some help picking out nail polish and advice on my planned makeup for Halloween.

Thanks! I feel so much better. I totally have my wife to thank, she's the absolute best.
On your gp post, I wish you luck in finding support for your plans.

You ARE very lucky indeed!
I wish my wife were half as accepting.
How marvellous for you, Bridgette!
Just what Dr Laura would prescribe (if I actually was a doctor...) - a weekend femme break by the sea, once a month or so 🧜♀️
If the wife goes too, that's the best possible result. 👰
We all love her! 💋❤
I resemble those remarks about encyclopedias... at least the most recent is a single volume... 😊
Bridgette that was beautiful to read thank you for sharing with us.
What was remarkably so romantic was that two people who obviously love each other enjoy the experience together regardless of the issues of attire.
