Hello Girlfriends,

Well today I bit the bullet and after five months without a computer I finally went and bought a 17.3" HP laptop computer. It has a 512 GB-HD, a 1165G7  processor, DVD+RW Optical Drive and Touchscreen, Multi-touch screen plus a slot for my SD Cards

It's going to take me a couple of days to get everything loaded from my old dead computer but I hope that within the week I will be back online with my computer. Life will be much better then.

If you're in the US, Staples can transfer the memory to the new one, plus up to 3 applications you might want to keep. Not sure about the others. I recommend for future use getting a portable hard-drive to back up everything, and update it every month. That way, if your computers hard drive dies, you can back it up easily

I envy you, i can't last 5 min without a computer let alone 5 months.  Odd thing is, I'm still old school so I'm not into portal devices like a tablet or phone, but I'm used to a full rig setup.

Grace,

I don't know if you are serious or you are joking but this is not a foreign language that can be translated. It is English that describes the processor which is tells the way the computer processes all the information. The DVD stores information, plays movies and music among other things, the Touch-screen allows you to touch the screen instead of the keyboard to open or close other programs. The SD Card stores your information off the computer. Hope this helped.

It's mostly techno babble. Essentially it's got a lot of features that make it go fast. Plus touchscreen and DVD capabilities, which a lot of modern lap tops don't have

Grace,

You're funny, and no I am not making fun of you. I just had to chuckle at your responses, not at you. As someone said it has a lot of techno babble but I run a couple of programs that need this high-end stuff. One such program is my Genealogy program, "Family Tree Maker" which needs 6 GB of Ram just to run efficiently. This computer has 8GB of Ram. I know what you are saying "What in the hell is she talking about". Don't worry about it just accept what I said as true.

Love Ya Hun.

I knew a farmer who kept sheep...he had lots...not sure how many Rams he had??...I never heard them speak, but they could have been from GB??...when chasing sheep they could sure run efficiently…ewe never know do you???....I don't think I am helping much, am I???

I had a 1 Tera bite Hard Drive before and I hadn't used 1/4  of it so I figured that I would be good with the 512 GB HD. That was a selling point for me. I didn't realise it had a touch screen untilI got home.
