So last night I dress up in my new leopard print dress , thigh high of course black lace bra and pantries and black stockings with seams and black heels. I go over to regular Dunkin Donuts that I have stopped at which is a few time towns over for a cup of coffee. I normally go in grab my coffee and go but this time I decided I was going to sit for awhile and have my coffee. Lo and behold I recognize a man walk in ( he let himself go lol ) it was an old high school friend that I played sports with. Oh dear, he caught my eye and headed over my way with his cup of coffee. He seemed like he may have had a beer or too( guessing) and said “ do I know you”. ? I said I don’t think so and he proceeded to continue with I know you from somewhere . Now I’m getting a bit nervous and about to get up when he says now i remember, your Dawn so and so we dated a few times in high school. Let me say I was both relieved and quite taken with the fact that he thought I was a past date. Anyway at the time I realized he had no idea so I said no my name is Candace would you like to have a seat and drink your coffee. He obliged and chatted for about an hour, ( he definitely was feeling good) as he told me about his recent divorce struggles of which I offered him positive thoughts for his future. We finished up he walked me to my car and once again said wow you look familiar. He asked if we could meet for coffee again and for some stupid reason I said yes he asked for my number and I said it’s best you give me yours of which he did . He thanked me for listening and all of a sudden leaned in and kissed my cheek. I said thanks but I must go and was on my way.

That was too close for comfort, but it was so very very nice to be accepted and recognized as women by him and have some real conversation. This really cements the reasons why I dress.... cause it’s me and feels so very very good to be me!!!

Happy Valentines Girlies

Hugs and Kisses💋💋💋

Close only counts with horseshoes and hand grenades; Congratulations on passing with flying colors. We admire (and envy) your success.

Wow! Just...wow! I think that was an outcome many of us would be happy with, other than that I have no desire to be kissed by some dude, lol! Bridgette's a lesbian, so...

But anyways, well done you! You kept your cool too, and that's what pulled it off for you. Confidence, whether feigned or real, will see you through.

Bettylou,
Horseshoes and hand grenades indeed. Haven’t heard that for years. But it does also apply to H Bombs. LOL

What a great story, and an uplifting moment in your CD journey.

One day I hope to have the confidence to sit in a coffee shop, en femme, and watch the world go by. And to be mistaken for a GG close up, that'll be the iceing on the cake.

I think the moral of the story is a we look a lot different when in our femme mode. Our male side is not easily recognized.

Superb experience for you,Candace. Something you will always remember but moreso because it meant you had passed. (Lets forget any mention of " he probably had a beer or two") He was glad of your femme company and prepared to unburden. So you probably helped him too. I bet you thought on that for a while. I think I would have "missed the opportunity" and taken an easier exit, but you have gone way beyond and been a voice of comfort. You have reason to be glad.
I hope the next meeting is equally enjoyable and productive ( ? ) Sorry, I had a wry smile then. Something I expect you have pondered too? I wish you every success. Well done, indeed.

Candace, that is beyond awesome!

Can you spell the word jealous?

Well now Candace, you have opened up a whole new Forum post. Have you called him for another coffee date? Damn girl, you better.

I want more!

WoW Candace, that was great. Are you gonna call him and meet up again? That's a great story. One to go out dress and sit in public (I'm far from that level) and 2. to talk with someone you know dressed as Candace. You did it girl!! Hugs-Katey
