It is the long school holidays and half way through my family and I headed off for a three week holiday. As usual this is a real drought for chances for dressing and this time it was almost unbearable waiting to get feminine again 🙁. I think it was because this time we were in a place with access to lots of shopping malls and I spent ages hanging around when the family shopped. Of course my eyes were constantly drawn not only to the great outfits being worn by the women out and about, and you know how they dress up to go to the mall, but of course also to the clothes on sale and display. Many times I stood not far from fantastic looking lingerie displays imagining myself browsing, buying and wearing a new bra and panties etc. Even when I got home there haven't been any opportunities for weeks until yesterday. Wow, getting back in undies, tights, dresses, skirts and heels was devine!

!How do you girls cope in the lean times?

Hi Susan,

Really please for you that you were back in the lovely clothes, I bet you felt wonderful.

What an interesting topic. My son is now past school age but when we were hindered by having to take holidays in school breaks I would have to be a little more creative in getting dressing time. Fortunately I have opportunities to work away from home that involve overnight stays, so I admit that in the past in longer school holidays I would arrange an impromptu overnight in London, Manchester or Newcastle for the sole purpose of dressing. A girl must find a way.

I can totally identify with the hours spent in shopping malls looking at what women are wearing and the lingerie displays, oh to be free to shop dressed.

Jessica x.

Susan I can certainly sympathize. I stopped painting my toes for the summer months, and having my step daughter home from school combined with my wife's recovery from a complete hysterectomy, it has been a long drab summer. Thankfully her recovery is over and school starts back up next week.

No if only I would get up the nerve to shop at the stores instead of online.

Autumn I use to have that problem. All you really have to do is go in and go shopping. Look in the men's department and you will see woman shopping. I went out the other day went right to the leggings and sports top bought a matching set some panties. Which were fabulous by the way. (Wearing them now) Any way most clerks don't care nor do they pay attention to what your buying. I may get a funny look sometimes when buying panties but who cares. (I think they only give us a funny look because were buying sexier panties than they are wearing lol) I have gotten over the fear of buying what I want. I even meet a lady that works at Ross that knows they are for me. She doesn't care tells me she hopes I enjoy them.

Autumn! Oh yes, painted toes. I long to have my toes painted and on display daily.

I often look at girls with painted toe nails, open shoes, etc with so much longing. This week at the office a very pretty girl had sexy shoes on and her toes done beautifully. I was in a trance, but not over her, but rather wishing I could be in her place.

She was also a bit flirty - but oh boy, she is barking up the wrong tree here! haha

How I wish that could be me, the pretty girl with painted toes and sexy shoes walking around the office! 🙁

Been living alone so long that I don't think my sanity would survive past 3 months of not dressing.

And as far as painting toenails...not me. I forget my feet even exist until it's the end of the workday and I am dying to take my shoes off.

Well if you are about to shop, now is a good time. I literally did not know that Labor Day was so close until I was at work today and clicked on to Newegg.com to look at computer parts. Now that I am home, I am now multitasking between posting comments in these forums and browsing for some new breast forms and maybe more one piece swimsuits.

I've considered taking a small vacation somewhere away from here to spend a lot of outdoor time dressed, but I have no idea of anywhere I could go and get complete privacy.

I used to fantasise about getting rich and the buying one of those Scottish Islands where there are villages but no people an creating a CD village for girls to holiday in. We could all go and stay there dressed for a week or so each year... Lovely.

Hi Jessica

I used to also travel for my job and stay in hotels and was never without a full outfit, heels and nightie. Couldn't wait to get back to my room get room service and dress for the night. Waking up in my nightie, dressing up again and pretending I was going to go to work that day in my skirt suit and blouse was great fun 😁

I cope with not having time to dress by

 • retail therapy when out shopping on my own
 • looking at what women are wearing and spotting an outfit I would like to wear
 • by planning what to do with my next home-alone time (at the moment at worst they are about one month apart).

If I have a long wait till my next dressing opportunity I must admit I get a little down in the dumps - if so I read my old journal entries and look through my photos. That helps cheer me up 🙂

Hi Susan, It always seems like forever and a day between opportunities to put my look all together. To get by, I keep my legs shaved (even in the summer), give myself regular manicures, keeping my nails slightly longer and shaped feminine. I do keep a matte base coat on them as well. My toes are done in a clear shiny polish. I also use Secret deodorant on occasion and wear panties on days I'm off from work. If a small window of time opens up, I'll put on a skirt and practice walking in heels.

Hugs,

Robin
