I have never liked and never will like washing clothes, hanging them out to dry and putting them away. It has to be done but always feels like such a slow laborious process. So the other week I just happened to have the chance to be fully femme when washing day came along. First things first I dressed in some casual female clothes makeup and wig and then put on the washing. As I was in my femme happy place I didn't seem to mind putting the washing on and actually liked being outside in the courtyard (which is quite private) while I hung the clothes out to dry. The next day the basket full of clean clothes was there on the floor of our bedroom. I didn't want to even think about it. Then I got the idea as I never get the chance to go out anywhere in any of the formal outfits I have. (even though I do get out a fair bit in more casual clothes) If I have if I have to put the clothes away at least do it in style. So I dressed in my black cocktail dress shiny pantyhose and these gorgeous black velvet stilettos and started putting the washing away. I actually enjoyed the walks from the bed where the basket was to our walk in robe in the stilettos and in no time all the clothes were away.
Does anyone else dress femme when doing any chores around the house? And for those girls who are femme 24/7 are there any chores that you don't mind as much now you are full time femme?
I live with my OH at her place, but work from home at my own place and stay over one night every week, which is my full-Fiona day. I have always done all my own laundry here, which was never too bad a chore but is certainly more fun when Fiona does it 🙂 I have to wear flats to do my ironing even with a tall ironing board though.
Other than that, this place doesn't get much love, I really ought to sack my cleaner 😉 So something else I'm going to try doing as Fiona is the kitchen, bathroom and general hoovering etc. ... the neighbours that my house is attached to are sure to enjoy that with my heels on the hard floors in every room!
I do enjoy certain chores more when dressed, but I enjoy doing pretty much anything more when dressed! It is especially fun, though, to put on my not-to-frilly but nonetheless feminine apron on to cook, and I do love to cook. My wife thinks me in an apron is funny, but doesn't complain because she loves my cooking.
I did recently start a task I've been dreading, that of getting my armoire of mostly drab things organized. I decided it would be a much more tolerable task if I did it dressed, and it was! My wife was out with her sister doing their thing while I was at home tidying. When they got back I hung out with them for a few hours at home (My S-I-L knows about Charlotte. She doesn't say much about my dressing besides finding it difficult to see me in makeup and a wig, but has commented favorably on some of my attire).
I do remember seeing a cartoon showing a husband operating a vacuum in a maid's outfit, with his wife and a female friend looking on. The wife is saying, "Yeah, I know, but he loves doing the housework now!"
If I don't like doing something, I just don't like it regardless of how I am dressed. Now I have gotten to the point where I am dressing multiple times per week and doing my normal things so there are plenty of opportunities to do things I don't like as my authentic self. On the other hand, I also get to do things I love, like shopping. You just have to take the bitter with the sweet.
I have changed the bed, done laundry and run the vaccuum while dressed. It is fun doing that, unfortunately I don't get to do it very often.

When I travel for work and get to my hotel, it has usually been some time since I have dressed. Upon arrival, I always make a clothes switch and contentedly unpack, hang up my clothes and organize my room - sometimes with a drink. It always amazes me how happy I am to take my time and enjoy the feelings that it brings.😊

If there are any household chores to do when I've a chance to dress, then they'll be done. I like to do them; the sort of things I do are washing up, putting out the rubbish, doing washing, hanging up clothes on airers, vacuuming the floors/carpets.
Outfit wise I'll wear something day-to-day - usually a skirt and top. Once the chores are done I'll change my outfit before going out for a walk.
I am blessed with being dressed 24/7 so chores are a necessity so it is the norm. However on a lazy day I might do the chores in my nightie and even in my underwear although modest enough to wear a slip and do recall my mum doing it in that style back in the day...
I hate doing any house work unless I’m dressed - ironing, vacuum cleaning, emptying the dishwasher, laying the table, making the beds, but even exercising in my home gym. I have also gotten used to doing my paid work dressed (over the covid lockdown and subsequently home work days) that I now find it difficult to work at the office when Ι am not dressed! I my wife is supportive of my dressing, especially since I do my fair share of the house chores.
I like to dressed when I am ironing and cooking.
I definitely do. I also plan outfits that I will wear after I finish a long run. I make deals like I will run 20k and then I will wear something special or something I love.
Living full time means I'm always dressed when doing things around the house. The only thing I usually do differently is wearing just a bra and panty when I vacuum.
Interesting concept of enjoying dressing while doing chores. I wonder if it belies a subconscious / concious chauvinism of what we believe are female / male chores. Having said this - I admit I do. Though we do our washing at a laundromat, so no dressing enfemme while doing the laundry..
This past September I had the house to myself for a few days. The Saturday I got up, dressed in skinny jeans and blouse, and of course bra and panties and made myself some bacon and eggs. Then I did the pile of dishes in the sink.
In the past I've done a big house cleaning dressed in a maid uniform and heels. That was a different experience, but dressing up didn't make the chores any more fun than in guy mode.
I have certainly dressed when doing chores. Usually not all dolled up in a dress or skirt, but I have worn casual clothing and loungewear while doing chores. The chores I have done en femme have ranged from laundry and dishes to light home repairs. Dressing certainly makes common household chores a more enjoyable.
