I just realized how much I buy in shops and online all related to my crossdressing. Don't know the exact amount of money and don't dare do the calculation.

I have no idea , I really don’t want to know or especially have my wife know/ I’d get Holy Hell! I would estimate $100-$150 dollars

I’ll let you know how much I spend in a year when I have crossdressed for a year. Right now, it’s only been about seven and a half months. And I have already spent about $5,000 dollars.  Fortunately, I have a very generous retirement pension from the state of California, and no SO to nag me about how much I spend. So life in retirement is good, my friends.

Clarissa,

I started fully dressing and going out in public fifteen months ago. Over that time I've had to build a wardrobe, buy lots of shoes and accumulate all the necessary makeup. Then nine months ago, I started living virtually full time as a woman, so I needed even more casual day to day clothing. Also about that time, I started attending many CD events, dinners and lunches in a major city near me so that added tolls and parking lot costs. And then I attended the entire Keystone Conference. So like you, I am afraid to add it all up but it wouldn't surprise me to find it was easily over $5,000. Of course my first year expenses are going to be higher than more experienced CD's who already have a lot of the necessary stuff. I was thinking that costs might be lower in this following year but every so often I go on buying binges for a particular item. I just finished adding a bunch of dressy dresses and now I'm on a nightgown binge. So I suspect if you ask me this question again next year the amount may not be significantly lower. Which is why I bought some Mega Powerball tickets today!

I am only shopping for clothes in vintage and thrift stores. (other than things like stockings and foundation wear) It is amazing what you can find, although it takes some time to really look. I don't think I have spent more than $100-$150 in the past year.

at the height of the pandemic, it was alot.   I reviewed past years purchases on amazon (only) and one year was staggering 30+ purchases. most of the stuff i don't use at all or donated to charity.  What a complete waste of money.

Before the pandemic, purchases were bad too.   Not as bad as during the pandemic, but it amounted to alot of purchases.   During the pandemic a guesstimate would be several thousand dollars.   I kept justifying my purchases and couldn't figure out why my savings weren't going anywhere.

Late dec 2021, I mostly stopped purchases.  I bought a few things here and there, but nothing like before.   I kept at it for over 1.5 years, just buying items like a pocketed bra or a swimsuit once in a blue moon.

Now, my bank account has swollen big time, and by not purchasing so much stuff now I don't feel the wrath of my wife either, so kinda win win.   Sucks I don't have new stuff, but good that I'm saving $$$ - since mostly everything is expensive.

I'll take a wild guess and say around $5k.  I'm full time so I need a lot of stuff!  I'm including the usual (clothes, shoes, makeup/makeovers, hair/haircare, skin care, jewelry, etc.) and trans specific stuff (HRT, doc visits, labs, supplies, electrolysis).  I could be way off.  But I'm sure it would be much higher if I wasn't getting a screaming deal on electrolysis.

I haven’t kept track of what I’ve been spending on Kerri over the last year, but it’s affordable.  I mostly shop at thrift stores where you can find some great bargains. Every once in awhile I’ll make a stupidly expensive purchase on something ridiculous and then regret it.  Kerri’s appetites have to be reigned in sometimes.

I’ve only been buying my own stuff for about 18 months.
I was keeping track in a spreadsheet, but once the amount got to £1300 I decided I really needed to stop.
Recording the amounts that is………………

Hi Clarissa

It’s not cheap fully exploring the feminine world, but so much fun.

I know everybody’s financial situation is different. Personally I spend…too much. Something Im sure most of us who have been in a long term relationship with a girly woman can understand.

Those boots are $$$ but would look so cute with my outfit, gotta have them.
Hair, make up, accessories, purses, shoes, scent, outfits, underwear to go with the outfit, skincare,  jewellery, etc etc. Hey YOLO.
Always remember a scene from the Big Bang Theory, Penny on the sofa wearing gorgeous shoes with her feet in the air. Loves the shoes so much but knows if she puts her feet on the floor wearing them she has to keep them, and pay for them! Been there LOL

Maybe more than it should be! LOL. But I spent a lot on boy clothes too! I have my jean, tops, have to have matching shoes (inventory growing), and now I'm finding I need a bag to match the shoes!!!

So the list grows and grows, as does the spending budget. (which currently has no limit!)
🙂

Clarissa, I can say as a full time scrooge, too much! Well, not really, as "start up" costs are always going to be higher than regular maintenance costs. Since March 2023, $400.00. To become Michelle as I envision her, an additional $300.00 will be needed by year's end. Now, can I deduct for mental stress relieved? Disappearing anxiety? Priceless! Thank you for posting this. Michelle

I have spent WAAAAAY to much. Just on my hair and nails I am spending over $500 a year. Then beginning of this year I decided to spend $3000 on laser hair removal. I am so glad I started working at Torrid with my 50% discount. A couple of times I have gone in and bought 8 to 12 pieces of clothing for under $150.
