Do you crossdress with a beard or chest hair?
Do you act like your gender matching your genitals, but wear opposite genders clothing?
Do you like to bend the gender lines of society and wear what you like, no matter the gender says it's for?
Then you, my friend you are part of the Androgynous Ones Club. We are great in numbers, but rarely heard from. It is time to raise up and let CDH know that you are here. Let them hear your voice. We will no longer take the back seat. We want to be heard from to. Let us wave our purses, blouses, skirts, jeans or whatever you have in air. Let them know WE ARE HERE AND WE ARE PROUD TO BE WHO WE ARE!
So can I get a show of hands of The Androgynous Ones
What would David Bowie and Dennis Rodman do?

You should see if there's a group within CDH, and if not, maybe start one. Great way for the Androgynous crowd to meet and greet.
Rayna.
- Nope...not sorry. I am not of the bearded, chest hair carpet clan.
- I shave all hair, fine as it is at 74, except top of my head. Very feminine eyebrows. No nose hair,& no ear hair.
- I have a facial monthly.
- I love dressing, acting and being feminine, but I am not " gay".
- Can't join the " A " train...androgynous. I am who I am, you are who you are. Everyone have fun without hurting anyone else.
- Love to all, Dr.T.J.
That's just what I am talking about. Crossdressers are like a fingerprint, no to the same.

I’m only androgynous around the house. If I go out I’m all dressed. I want to feel girly and to do that I need a wig, foundation eyebrows lipstick, etc.
That's okay to, like I told T.J. Byron. No two crossdressers are alike, we are like fingerprints.

I know just what you mean, I wore a beard for so long, that I don't think I remember what my face looks like clean-shaven anymore. Who knows I might have a birds nest in there?
No beard, and my hair is a bit shaggy. I only go out as Bettylou two or three times a week, but my tops are sometimes girly, and have been out twice as a guy in a denim skirt, and once while wearing leggings. So, sometimes androgynous.
I am one of them that lives up to their name. I go out and live Hippie, meaning is I am free spirited, easy going and pretty much do as I please.
So if you ever see a guy at the beach wearing a two piece bikini, sporting a wide brim fedora and a beard. I'd bet you any money that would be me. (I tried to share that photo here, administration would not allow it) Anyways.

You raise an interesting point Hippie. Although there is much commonality in our ranks, each of us has embarked on our own journey. You needn’t read too many posts and profiles to know that there are myriad paths which have led us all here.
My journey began very late in life, fairly recently and for all I can tell, almost completely out of the blue. I feel kind of unique in that way from the experience of so many here. That is; dressing very young, feeling the urge consistently throughout the many stages of their lives. Unlike a lot of our friends here, I can’t accurately trace Clara’s origin story back all that far.
I don’t feel at all like a woman in a man’s body. Yet here I am, writing to you while wearing a beautiful blouse, nice skirt, pantyhose and a 42c bra and calling myself Clara. (Can you believe that just four months ago I introduced myself as “a guy in a skirt”) I know I’ll make a wardrobe change and switch back later today. It might be man jeans or lady’s skinny jeans. I might put on a plain old T-shirt or maybe a feminine, flowery top. It could very well look rather androgynous. Whatever it is I put on, I’ll be comfortable. And I’ll still just be me by whatever name you’d like to call me.
To your point. I would not be surprised if, at least at some point, many of our friends here expressed themselves in what you may describe as androgynous fashion. Either out of convenience or necessity, many of us as we traveled this path have or often do dress ambiguously. Not only is CD/TG a spectrum, it is, at least for me, always changing and evolving. And as it changes and evolves, an androgynous appearance may play an important role in how we think of ourselves.
In the end, whatever path brought us here, we all ended up in the same place. Thank goodness CDH is a big enough tent for all of us. Transitioning, questioning, androgynous, guy in a dress. It’s all good.
Maybe I’ll drop in sometime at the Androgynous Club. But right now, I need to talk to my girlfriends about how to keep my pantyhose from rolling down : )
Best to you Hippie,
Clara
Well Hippie, I thought I'd fit into the Androgynous Ones Club but I only scored 1.5 out of 3 in your questions. I absolutely don't have any ability to grow a beard or chest hair. I only had to start shaving my little bit of stubble daily a few years ago. Before that I could go a week and I'd still not have any facial hair. Do I match my gender with my genitals? Half marks for this one. Sometimes but I wish I could snap my fingers and change those. And full marks for wearing whatever I like (though sometimes my spouse intervenes and tells me to change to something less girly).
I usually wear a mix of female and androgynous clothing when I go shopping and, more often than not, I pass for female. I hear Ma'am pretty regularly.
So I guess I only earn an associate or part-time member status in the Club. As you say, no two of us are the same. Stay healthy, stay safe, Hugs, Krista.
Sorry Hippie
no beard, hate drab....just dress and act 100% girl...just need to look female all the time...I could just never present with a beard.....but
...while I don't always agree, I have mellowed over time and I just think everyone is different, and who am I to hold it against you...go go go....

Hi Hippie,
I must say I don't think I a part of the androgynous club ,although I have come home from work twice this week and slipped on a light summer dress to relax in without my wig or make up,if I'm going out it will be full femme.
If I'm going out I make every effort to be as feminine as I can possibly be.
Some may still say that's Androgynous.lol
To each there own we all have different thoughts on how we want to present and that's great.
We're all beautiful in our own way.
Hugs Patty
