Hello Ladies!
Firstly, I have to thank each and every one of you for the love and kindness I have been shown since I joined this amazing site. There is so much love and kindness here too, it is the most amazing and wonderful thing.
I am taking my first tentative steps on this amazing journey of self discovery, taking my time and working out what I want and what really works for me. This will probably take many years to express and process, but right now I am enjoying the journey. Right now exploring my female side and discovering for the first time Diane and who she is and represents feels right, and it feels like me. This CD experimentation is very much behind closed doors and very probably always will be.
So what has Diane been doing?
Diane has discovered a lovely cheap red silk negligee on Ebay. She loves it and it is perfect to slip into after a bath or on a quiet evening.
I have also been bolder still and bought my first two bras, two lovely Marks and Spencers (mid to high end UK retailer) bras which I again found going cheap second hand on Ebay. The first is black lace and the second, which I love even more, is more padded in purple and cream and I think it suits me perfectly. You know how it is is when you see something on Ebay or an online store and you think to yourself 'that's the one, that's me'?
I have also measured my bra size (more or less correctly) with the help of a few YouTube videos and got it right first time! I seem to be a 36C UK size, which is good, kind of average and I am fine with that. Wearing a bra for the first time really feels strange, and I need to get used to the tightness and the restrictiveness, but it will come. My bras do make me feel wonderfully feminine, which is exactly what I wanted of course. This is probably the newbie in me speaking but these silicon breast forms seem really expensive for what they are. Instead I came up with a different solution (promise not to laugh!): I found a couple of small sealable plastic sachets and filled them with flour and they work really well as my stand-in boobs!. You do have to seal them properly with sellotape to stop the flour escaping but they have exactly the weight and malleability I was looking for and they cost me almost nothing! As a temporary solution, until I get used to wearing a bra a lot more, they will do me absolutely fine ...
This is probably too much information but I did shave my underarms for the first time at the weekend. No loss really and I do look a lot smarter and more feminine. My armpits have been a bit sore since mind. Maybe I did somethig wrong there, I don't know, though I did use a reasonable shaving gel first... I am also contemplating shaving my legs but that is a much bigger step and I am far less confident, that doesn't feel right yet. There are much bigger implications there for my body image so I am thinking about that one. As I say, baby steps ...
Love to you all

Diane.
Love your story....baby steps is the perfect title...
Crossdressing really is like being born again..everything is new and there is so much to learn. Even years later we are still all learning. I don't believe we will ever get to know everything, we just get better and improve....bit like wine or cheese...haha.
I had some M&S bra's...they are very good and lasted me for ages...good choice. Despite the cost, proper forms should be your target. I have heard of girls using rice bags before but not flour.....hope it's self raising😂😂...
Shaving underarms and then applying anti perspirant too soon used to cause me to itch...I started using Johnson's baby lotion after shaving and I haven't had any problems...I like female underarm too, like Nivea or soft and gentle.
Best wishes on your journey Diane....

Hello Diane you really are on a voyage of self discovery, and you are totally right it is a wonderful thing. Its lovely hearing you say it feels right, it certainly does I personally cannot see any negatives. Your definitely are going the right way with baby steps. M&S Bra's are a good buy they are excellent quality. When your ready to purchase breast forms I found Amazon were very good, and you can pick up from elsewhere if you need to be discreet.
Best Wishes

Hi Diane
Good choice with the M&S bras, I have found them to be my go to place when it comes to buy my lingerie, if I now need any new underwear there is nothing nicer than taking a wander around in store which gives you a much better idea of what the bras/panties look and feel like.
like Grace has said after I have shaved my underarms and chest I always put some body lotion on and have never had any problems.
Good luck with your journey and take care

Hi Diane
I do wonder if M&S realise they have such a large potential market here, judging by the replies!
My three tips for after shaving are moisturise, moisturise and moisturise. I find that has helped a lot when I recently moved to shaving my legs (arms and torso).
I was initially worried if anyone in the wider world would notice but, despite my drab alter-ego wandering about in t-shirts and 3/4 length shorts, so far there has not been a word. I think a lot more men are into body grooming of one form or another so full body shaving is more acceptable beyond the usual swimming, cycling or running excuses.
My immediate family know I'm heavily into the Ancient Celts so the fact Caesar recorded that both genders shaved their bodies gave me my excuse! Experimental archaeology and preserving cultural heritage through the razor's edge!
