Hey girls, another rather introspective post from me. So as some of you will know I've just got back from a 5 week cruise from the UK to the Caribbean. We've never had an extravagant holiday before and we deserved this. What a fabulous trip. Just treated like royalty and spoiled the whole time. We bought a single Internet package (for a completely outrageous price, but we wanted to stay in touch with family). The irony was that we could contact anybody in the world, except each other 😂. We lost each other a few times.
Anyway, I therefore had access to CDH. But I wasn't really feeling it. Apart from anything the missus and I were together pretty much 24/7, which is not without its challenges. I must admit that before we came away I'd been feeling a bit overwhelmed by my membership here. I've got more involved, probably too much so, and it all got a bit much. I also embarrassed myself with some ill-considered posts to someone who the powers that be rightly deemed to be an undesirable. I felt such a fool.
Now that I am back I'm catching up on a lot of posts, but I'm still not really feeling it. I know this never goes away and I'll always be here, but I'm going to try and dial it down a bit. For those who have sent me PMs or emails please rest assured I'll get back to you in due course.
However the missus is planning a 4 day trip to Norway later this year. Maybe not enough time to assemble a couple of nice outfits but definitely an opportunity for another makeover. That'll get me all excited again. Anyway you'll be pleased to hear that you'll see the occasional post bemoaning my lack of dressing opportunities. I'm sure you've been missing them. This place continues to be very important to me and I love all you girls.

Re "not feeling it", that's in the nature of what we do, and I think it can be like a safety valve, I mean who can tolerate the constant desire to dress but with little or no opportunity.

Welcome to our world! I've lost count of the number of enthusiastic welcomes I've given, just to see, a couple of hours later, they're gone! You have embarrassed no-one by being friendly and welcoming.
As Melodee @melodeescarlet says, we're not going anywhere, you drop in as and when it suits you. You have earned our love and respect and that is forever, so take the time you need, you deserve nothing less.

I see people come here to CDH, I see people go, I even find people like me who go and then come back. But meanwhile CDH is like being on a cruise ship, gently and safely allowing you to visit and explore new places. A shame there's no duty free allowance - or is there ?

@emmat Emma, it was lovely to be warm for a while! I had no idea about duty free, being a rather infrequent traveller. Rest assured I shall always be here xx.
@chrisfp99 Chrissie, I just want to say that I’ve been where you are. I think so have most of us. It seems that the more we stay away from dressing, the more we think that we may need a break. All I can say is that it happens to all of us and you sure don’t need to apologize for it. There’s not a thing wrong with you. You just do whatever makes you happy, and do whatever you feel like doing when you are ready. The good news for us, is you’ll be ready some time, and I’ll be here waiting for you as you return.

@chrisfp99 Five weeks?! Wow! I can only imagine! Glad you had such a great time!
As to your feelings, girl, no one here is judging you (and if they are, you send them to me 🤨 ). Everyone's journey is their own and how it goes is up to them. If you think your journey is ending or just pausing, you don't need to apologize of feel any guilt - your feelings are yours!
If you need a break, take it! CDH isn't going anywhere. If you need/want to come back in the future, we'll be here and you'll categorically be welcomed back - and you won't be the first!
I wish you a joyous and productive exploration of yourself, whatever it may find! Knowing yourself is of great solace!

YOU DIDN'T DRESS ON YOUR CRUISE? I WANT TO GO ON A CRUISE THIS YEAR. LEAVE DRESSED AND COME BACK DRESSED. THAT'S ON MY BUCKET LIST. 5 WEEKS WOULD BE LIKE A YEAR FOR ME. THE LONGEST VACATION I HAVE EVER HAD WAS A WEEK. MAYBE I NEED TO RETIRE.
Going on a cruise fully dressed would certainly be amazing. Actually there was a girl on the trip. Not in the first flushes of youth, but tall, elegant and always beautifully dressed. The permanent smile was the icing on the cake. For no particular reason it crossed my mind she might be a crossdresser. It was certainly fun to fantasise. I even mentioned it to my wife. First time I'd ever raised the subject. Baby steps. I can certainly recommend retirement xx.
A trip to the Caribbean leaving this grubby cold weather behind is enough reason to restrain from dressing. So a time to reflect which your post explains and also to reassess life and the opportunities to dress.

I'm glad you had such a lovely time on your cruise - goodness me, five weeks is a marathon, however did you put up with all that warmth and sunshine, and endless food & drink? 😉 That's one seriously enviable holiday, good on you girl!
As everyone has said, you do what you feel you need to do, honey 🙂 But I for one am very glad to know that you won't be a stranger. CDH is always here for you if you need us, or whenever you want to drop in for a catch-up. I do hope makeover #3 will become a reality for you, I know it will mean so much to you and I'm sure we'll all be excited too (especially if there are going to be photos, of course! 😀 ).

Hi Chrissy. 5 weeks cruising and being on vacation sounds amazing.
I know that feeling too of needing a vacation from our online femme personas. Breaks are good. It can all be so tiring, overwhelming, at times frustrating. But, like others said, we'll be here when you're ready!!

I have had some times when I haven't been interested in following up what has been happening here and other times I've been as keen as mustard. So go with the flow knowing we are always here for you if you ever want to reach out. I so hope you do get that third makeover and have the most amazing time.

Hi Chrissie, I did that cruise in 2016, 32 nights also in January and yes it is the way to holiday as far as I am concerned, 32 nights of being spoilt.
One could say that I was jealous but I like to think that I was envious of all the lovely dressed ladies in the evenings especially for the formal nights, my Queen even wore a couple of my things (a dress and a skirt), well at least they saw light outside of the cabin lol.
15th cruise coming up this year.
