Good Afternoon Girls,
I had decided that today I wouldn't do any shopping as Saturday means lots of shoppers and a hectic pace.
However, things didn't work out that way as I really wanted to get on with my bedroom make-over. That being so, I went into Spruce Grove, had a nice lunch first and then went to Winners.
I'm glad that I did go as really there weren't anymore shoppers in there than there would be on any other day.
Anyway, I came away with new bedsheets, a quilt cover and new drapes for the window.
To my eye they compliment each other... but then I'm not exactly a home decor kind of a girl.
I am sure that my bedroom will look a lot better and more suitable for me as Aurora though when it is complete.
I am going to take before and after photos, which I sometimes forget to do. 🙂
While I was there, I also tried on a really nice pair of light tan flat-heeled sandals and found that they fit really nicely. The sandals have nicely matching brass buckles and eyelets. The only thing is though that they do not have a strap at the heel and I am not used to that. So far, I have been having some difficulty but hoping to get used to it. I have had to shorten my stride and that is a good thing as it will help me to walk in a more ladylike fashion. 🙂

My stride is still a bit long also, and my pace is too quick, even in heels. Sounds like a nice day out, too! It's funny you mention not that many folk were out, as I noticed the same thing today. Went to the home store deciding on stones to build a fire pit, and the grocery store and both would normally be covered in people on Saturdays, but there were few folk about.

Yes, even the restaurant was only three-quarters full and it is not unusual on Saturday lunchtime to have to wait for a table.
It could be though that a lot of people are out camping and enjoying the weather... even though it is too hot.

Fortunately I don't have to worry about my stride or pace being too much. Short legs and age assure me of a proper feminine walk. Hell, as a male in the army my stride and pace were not good enough for marching so I was always pushing it hard to stay in formation. In fact all of my GG friends walk faster than me. My short legs, even though they are cute, just don't work that well.

Aurora, congrats on the day out and bedroom redo. Sounds like a great idea. I've actually been thinking about getting a new sheet set, or more, to make my bedroom fit my feminine side a little better.
