Amongst all the euphoria of being your feminine self is there a particular moment or thing that you do when you dress that is the pinnacle of being femme that gives you the biggest buzz and is your happiest moment.

Is it when you first look in the mirror and see a girl looking back at you or when you walk out the front door to go out in public or just after you put on your stocking or pantyhose and first feel the sensation of them while you walk or is it something totally different.

For me the best feeling is when I'm out in public and someone makes a comment or gesture to me that shows they don't doubt at all that I'm not just another woman. Like when a sales lady asked Can I help you gorgeous or Hello sweetie.

It was scary but when I was putting in a health insurance claim in the local office. I handed the lady behind the counter my membership card that had both me and my wife's name on it and she started calling me by my wife's name. She really thought I was my wife! I even had to sign the claim with her signature. As scared as I was about committing fraud pretending to be her, I was on cloud nine that someone just accepted me totally as a woman.

I'd love to hear the moments that make you the happiest when you are being your femme self.

@oliviac Olivia, what a lovely post. Not sure about signing as your wife though 😂. For me, totally closetted as I am, just the process of dressing does it for me. Bra, maybe an OBG and stockings, a pretty dress, wig, and then that moment when you slip into heels. Makeup? Well that's very much a work in progress 😂.

I'll be in touch with you shortly honey xx.

@oliviac I don't think I have those moments anymore. Seems I've reached the point where it's all just natural to me. I used to get that excitement when dressing, the rapid heartrate and quickening of breath. My hands would shake doing my makeup in anticipation of seeing the real me at last.

Now that doesn't happen. It's just me dressing. Sure I still get that sensual feeling when slipping on something like my garter belt and stockings. But that's not the case daily when I'm donning pantyhose, or my leggings and boots. It's not a thing I miss actually. I sort of like that it's become more average, more natural.

@oliviac I think I just get a big buzz out of being someone daring and all dolled up.  It’s a rush to spend time looking at fashion and accessory choices instead of the drab world I grew up in.  It puts an unusual smile on my face and lets me forget my other stresses.  If I had to pick something that really makes me feel good, it would be hosiery and heels.  The makeup and hair is a close second.

@gina5 I agree Gina the female world is so much more exciting with so many clothing options and almost limitless accessories.

@oliviac I love being out in the world as my authentic self.  The biggest buzz for me is doing things as a woman without the fear that paralyzed me for so many years.  I always hated going somewhere and then waiting to get out until I built up enough courage.   Now I stop that car, grab my purse and go.

Hi, Olivia! The biggest buzz for me is when a man looks at me and smiles the smile that says, "I'm checking you out"! That's when I know I've got myself really together on that day!

@oliviac

My “moment” is when I slip on a dress. I spent a long time just doing pantyhose or sexy underwear, but after I bought my first dress and saw the person that I knew was inside me… THAT was my moment.
Whenever I have a bad day or feel stressed about something, I try to think about seeing BrieAnne in the mirror and the genuine happiness that flooded me.

Olivia, Olivia....Such a hard question.....As you know I've been a CD for many, many, decades. So its hard to name just one, (The downers... are more memorable, for all the wrong reasons...)

But OK you've put me on the spot and at least my foggy old brain can remember this one.(or as it happens two things),

https://www.crossdresserheaven.com/a-cd-daily-double-bra-fitting-and-dinner-out/

https://www.crossdresserheaven.com/a-cd-daily-double-bra-fitting-and-dinner-out-part-2/

A femme bra fitting and dinner out has to be the best both in quality and "quantity",

The bra fitting was special, cos when you have someone adjusting straps and bra bands for you how much more femme can you get?

The dinner out was marked by when my lovely MUA and dear friend Michelle, commented on how happy and natural I looked as Caty.

Sadly as I have also said, pesky minor health trrubbles have met I've not had the chance to get my "Full Caty On" since December 24.

But if all goes well, post Easter, I hope to be right back "in it". With overnight volunteer charity trips on again.

Happy dressing one and all.

"Nana" Caty

@ryanpaul Hope you are feeling better soon Caty. You are so right about the bra fitting. That's one I forgot. I've only ever had one but yes being in a fitting room having someone check your bra and adjust a little here and there is about as feminine as you can get. She even asked me after she had adjusted it all "Are the girls comfortable".

It is hard to say, as so many things give me that buzz, but probably applying lipstick.

@jjandme I get what you mean JJ about lipstick. Applying lipstick for me is the last thing I do when I do my makeup and tips me in the direction of seeing more a girl looking in the mirror than the male me.

Hi Olivia.

Being out 'en femme' generally gives me the greatest buzz. This can be heightened when a guy offers me their seat when the tube is busy, or holds a door open for me. OK, so they might be the type who would offer their seat or hold open a door for anyone, but I like to think, or rather hope, it's because I actually resemble a female in some way!

Hearing a 'What I can I get you, miss?" when buying a coffee is always a real bonus.

Judy.

Perhaps because I don't have any opportunities to meet up with other CDs or TGs in my country, feeling like one of the girls is one of the greatest incentives. Seeing myself in the mirror is very pleasing. Sometimes I think that just knowing what I'm going to wear is a boost for my spirit.

@robertaf Thanks Roberta. You have me thinking as for all the things I do to become Olivia it is the one thing I've never tried. I do use women's deodorant but perfume would be another level. I'm going to have to give it a try.

@oliviac Ive chosen one perfume as being my scent. Makes it easier to keep handy. With a little body lotion on my neck and breast area. Then a spray of perfume to rub on both wrist and behind my ears. I keep a small spray in my purse for any touchups later in the day.

It depends, mostly just changing into clothes staying in male mode is enough, i.e no makeup, no wig. But I am a cheap thrill, tights on get me feeling great to kick off with. I like to see my full body in the mirror in clothes I genuinely think I look better in! I feel that I am not a convincing male, it is as simple as my body proportions are not pleasing. Athletic, tall, long legs, short upper body, shorter arms than is attractive as a male. I am not happy with my body as a man. Then I dressed more fully, settled on my name Sarah and also lost a bit of weight in my mid 40s, then everytime I got dressed more fully I thought, hm. I actually would fancy myself, then strangely I looked at my feelings a bit more I realised I fancied the more androgynous women and males by preference. Its odd this sexuality self discovery journey we go on isn't it?!

@sarahmichellelustre  You can't knock cheap thrills. Sadly for me I do need to see my face with full makeup and a wig before I'm happy with what I see which is at least a half an hour process.

I am similar to you in not having a masculine body but I love it now as it works for me when I'm Olivia. It's so good that times have changed and we can discover and explore who we are without having to fit in with the social norms as it was a few decades ago.

@oliviac p.s. you do have a remarkable figure. Sorry to say, you are a natural and suit your clothes so well in the photographs. But I am sure that is not a problem for you Olivia? Gorgeous.

I don’t require much to feel femme.
just pulling on a pretty pair of panties pretty much does it for me!

@splitdecision I am a bit jealous. That seem so much simpler than a 45 minute makeup routine.

@oliviac being closeted I’ve always had to keep my expectations low. It’s become a learned behavior. But a super feeling one.

Hi Olivia,

Lately for me, it has been hooking a bra behind my back. I can't fully dress often because my son lives with us. But since he mostly stays in his room, most mornings I can put on a bra and cover up with a heavy bath robe while I go to the kitchen to make coffee and have breakfast. Usually this is right after my wife leaves for work. On weekends my wife sleeps in late and when she does wake up she is inclined to stay in bed reading a book on her phone, so even then I can usually put on a bra for a little while in the mornings. It's like a feminine touchstone for me.

Hugs,

Autumn

@augustvaliant I so agree Autum, there is just something special reaching behind oneself to find and hook the clasps. Even though front hook bras are easier , its just not the same

@augustvaliant That is a nice little routine you have Autumn. The hug of a bra is one of the things that significantly adds to feeling feminine for me too.

There are several "buzz" moments but one I can enjoy at length is sitting in the armchair and seeing nylon-clad knees peeking out from my skirt - then even the slightest movement provides sensations that are so different from male mode.  It's better than looking in a mirror which, for me, is not a"buzz" or even a pretty sight.

That moment when I put on my wig and see a woman looking back at me in the mirror is like being magically transformed and fills me with joy.

a few things, pulling up the stockings, then once the outfit and shoes are on, then first look in the mirror, then finally after the nails, the wig and makeup is on, putting on the lipstick.

There is no sensation quite like pulling on sheer nylon stockings over freshly waxed or shaved legs. I do not wear stocking often, but OMG that is a great, if infrequent buzz.
