Do you and your female side share the same birthday or does she have a different birthday?
I was thinking about giving Tiffany her own birthday.

@tiffany8 This is exactly what my niece asked  me. As she wanted to have a day to celebrate Ashley. We haven’t set the day yet but my wife , sister in law and niece said maybe around the time I came out to my wife as that’s when Ashley started to really take off.

@tiffany8 That's an interesting question.

On the ONE hand I've called myself Ellie for the last 15 years or so now; I'm not two separate personas needing two separate birthdays. Ellie is my natural state, and *insert male name here* is rapidly receding.

But on the OTHER hand I love having any excuse to celebrate, so ... yes ... count me in on the whole 'two birthday' thing. I declare August 13th to be a National Ellieday. That's the date this summer when I came out to my Mum, and the first time 'Ellie' was free to start being herself without hiding.

Also, if it's good enough for Paddington, it's good enough for me.

Hugs

Ellie x

@ellyd22 I love this idea, Ellie! I chose my femme name on June 11th, 2019, so I declare June 11th to be National Revel Day! 🎉 Wait a minute, Revel Day is a singer, so it may be a little confusing. Haha. Oh well, I still love it. ♥️

@tiffany8  Like Melodee I marked it as the day she first went out, which just happened to be my birthday

@tiffany8 I never really thought about it too much.  As I see it, I always was a woman so it isn't a matter of two individuals or psyches.  It's just accepting who I really am and going forward with my life as the woman I always have been.

@tiffany8 When filling out online forms that require your birthday (mostly age verification), I put the same date as my male counterpart. I could use the date of my first makeover, but if I include the year, I'd only be 14 years old.

@tiffany8 A very interesting question, Tiffany. I think of Revel like my twin sister, so we share the same birthday together. This is March 13th. 👩🥳

I sort of marked Melodee's birthday as the first day she went out - Pride June 25th '22. Plus it keeps me young if I average them together! 🙂

I came out to my partner on my birthday 2 and a half years ago, so there is absolutely no doubt that I share the same birthday with myself! 😀

Interesting question - I have to think about that - is it the day I came out to my wife, the day I started to dress or some other date or the day I joined CDH

Good question! Like others, I've never really considered it. It is certainly the sort of detail that appeals to me, but it'd need to be a date that holds a personal meaning. Now, where did I put my thinking cap...?

No I just have the one, Sherri was born in me when I was born, she's always been there. But any excuses for a party I'm all in!

I keep the same one as it isn't confusing for anyone who knows me. I receive plenty of cards and congratulations for Angela. It's heartening to see those cards from those who would have sent them to the male me but now sending to Angela.

AnnaBeth was born 63 years ago, she has been me all my life. I don’t think she will have a separate birthday but I might celebrate ”AnnaBeth gets her name day” If I can narrow down when she got her name, it was 4 or 5 years ago that I found a name I was comfortable with.

I've never considered having a separate birthday for Heather.  But, if I did I would pick June 15th.  While I don't recall the exact day I started cross dressing, I do know it was in mid-June of 2020.  I could also pick January 1st as January 1, 2022 was the night I started going to bed at night fully en femme minus a wig.  (No need damaging a wig sleeping.)  Yes, I'm about to celebrate my 2nd anniversary of sleeping en femme continuously.

@catgurl I like this idea best. My life is complicated enough that I don't need a second birthday on top of everything else.

Hi Tiffany,

I was born under the sign of the twins so i could say I'm celebrating the both of us together, but it doesn't seem right that Roz can't celebrate her birthday on a different day, the thing is what day do i pick, I think I'll pick the 18th of October that was my mother's birthday after all I'm mummies little girl ,

@rozalyne That's lovely!

The actual name day for Rozalyn is September 4th ... but your choice is so much better 🙂

I've only just found out about name days, thanks to @christineth

Now I actually have three days to celebrate:

Name day: July 11th

National Ellieday (when I came out to my Mum): August 13th

Official Birthcertificateday: an unspecified date which the world at large continues to mistakenly follow (but which nevertheless provides another opportunity for cards and presents and is therefore welcome).

Hugs

@ellyd22 hi Ellie i suppose there's no harm in having 3 birthday's , all the more reason to have a party 🥳🎉,

So there's my official one on the 25th of may, then there's 4th of September and then the 28th of October, wow what a busy year X
