- I don’t know about you girls but I got burned buying bras. I know my size band and cup. Saw some really nice looking one sold in packs of 6 at a low price. Unfortunately when they arrived they said my size but in reality they were way too small.
Lesson learned. Shopping in person is so much better and you know if it fits before you buy. Uggghhh.
Sorry you got burned.
It happens to all of us sooner or later.
In the future make sure the online retailer has a good returns policy.
Hi Rosiebeth,
Very sorry that you got burned on your purchase. If your purchase was from a Chinese manufacturer the sizing can run much smaller than the size stated. You can donate them to a womens shelter to aid a good cause.

While I have purchased a variety of bras on-line, rarely have they not fit right. I go over their sizing charts, comments and tips carefully.
Something that cannot be accounted for, for example, is having bra cups placed too closely together. Looks weird on a barrel chest.
I wouldn't let one purchase stop me from buying on-line, though. There is just too much interesting variety out there. Their cost can be low enough that we can experiment without breaking the bank.
Burning bras?? Reminds me of the 60's.... smile...
Totally agree about shopping in person if possible. The good news is, this is “the most wonderful time of the year” when you can shop in drab mode if necessary for things like bras and panties, and no one gives you a second look!
I always go for named brands and my wife’s advice. Amazon is brilliant, just make sure the item is free to return.
Welcome to the world of women's wear where sizes are only guidelines. One thing men's wear gets right is a medium is nearly always a medium, unless buying from a foriegn market. A European medium is an American large.
