I have too much time on my hands. Today, I weighed my two pairs of breast forms and found for the same bust size, they are quite different in weight.

My day-to-day forms are cheapo versions from Vollence that I bought from Amazon, my better quality ones (Transform) I bought from a small company in Brighton (UK).

Both pairs are 44D but the Vollence ones weigh in at 1kg the pair, whereas the better quality ones weigh 1.4kg and the difference in feel is palpable (literally).

The difference in price was about £150. Is it worth it? I think so. The expensive ones have a depression in the back side to allow for any chest flesh whereas the Vollence ones do not; although, in wearing, I don't really feel much difference. Where I do feel the difference is in the weight and 'bounce'. The Vollence give shape and some feel but nowhere near as much as the Transform ones.

I think if you are a casual dresser or on a limited budget, then the Vollence are perfectly acceptable, but for that 'real' feminine feel, you get what you pay for and the extra is worth it if you can stretch that far.

Hi Becca,

I have 3 sets. The first I bought over 10 years ago. They were very expensive and at the time my 'lingerie lady' fitted me out with 34DD bras which meant I had a good size bust. They had depressions in the back and are meant to be self adhesive. I was very happy with them for a long time. I was not out to my wife at the time.

In my more recent crossdressing activities I have been out to my wife and I have been cautious about sporting a significant bust. My current bras are 34B's and 34C's and, as I now have a slight amount of breast tissue, I have opted more for 'enhancers' rather than full breast forms. I have been really happy with these and, with the careful choice of bra style and strategic positioning of the forms, I can get my natural breast tissue to show between the cups, rather than the enhancers; the result is a very modest showing of natural cleavage which pleases me well. It gives me a bust that does jiggle or bounce, but seems quite in proportion to my frame.

The best part is that these enhancers are very inexpensive. They are sold by a lovely lady (search for Jo Thornton) in the UK who is very helpful via email (and maybe over the phone, though I have not chatted with her in that way).

@fembecky Mine came from Jo Thornton in Brighton too. I prefer the look of enhancers. I have 2 pairs of 720g and a pair of 880g which give me a C or D - I don't have much natural cleavage.

I found Jo to be incredibly helpful via email and both sizes work well for my shape. They are also very comfortable - if I am dolled up it will often be for a 12-14 hour day.

Hugs,

I'm thinking that the place must be full of cross-dresser supplies, until it suddenly came to me that it wasn't Brighton, but Bognor Regis, from a company called Translife; oops.

I've had a look at Jo Thornton, they seem to be just a little cheaper for the same shape and size of mine, but not by much.

I personally wouldn't get much out of enhancers, mainly because there is nothing much there to enhance.

Longest I've worn mine is about ten hours, but they were fine—both the cheap and expensive pairs.

PS I might also add that Translife is run by a cross-dresser called Sophie.

@rebeccabaxter I'd not found Translife. There's some good items on there, thanks.

I don't have a huge amount of chest to enhance either, but don't want to end up looking too busty.

@rebeccabaxter I only buy Amoena forms. They are a quality manufacturer of mastectomy forms from Germany. Retail they are about $600/pair but I've been lucky to be able to find them on eBay for under $100/pair. They have excellent drape and movement, are soft to the touch and even though the model I buy is considered "Light" it's still about 2/3 the weight of a real breast in that size. They are perfect for me. I tried cheap forms for years till I purchased my first silicone forms. The difference was amazing and that's all I've worn since.

@rebeccabaxter I've been through various cheap options from t'internet, some of which were actually quite good but I eventually splashed out on a pair from Translife because of the quality, the price & the scalloped backs. Unfortunately, they are still not scalloped enough for me. For some reason nature has seen fit to award me a real, large A cup, (nearly a B) as it is, which is nice, don't get me wrong but the Transform ones still tend to sit atop what I already have.

Originally I wanted these to stick on so I could ditch the bra from time to time but as I cant get a flat surface to stick to, even with high end professional adhesives, that is something that I can't seem to achieve (think trying to stick a plate to a ball). I have to agree that the bounce is what makes the expense worthwhile though, as they do feel pretty natural & I now tend to go for these as my daily wear.

So far, I have bought various inexpensive forms by weight. This has allowed me to experiment without too much cost and I am glad that I did things this way

Most even inexpensive forms have the backside dimples, but my recent honeycomb style forms do not. These are my most expensive forms, too. They seem to sit a bit oddly.

The one thing that none of my forms do is jiggle or sag. They may bounce, but that isn't the same, natural movement as jiggle. Firm breasts, for the most part, imply youthfulness that shouldn't apply to us older CDs.

I do try to tug them down just a little bit. It's disappointing in some ways that I have to, but there is little more obvious than a pair of twenty-year-old breasts on a seventy-year-old woman

@rebeccabaxter Some CDs have made forms out of water filled balloons. If done right, I bet someone could manufacture more reliable ones. At least they would jiggle and have a good weight.

@harriette I've sometimes wondered about trying with balloons but always thought that you'd have a problem with condensation or even worse if it popped 🤣

@blondie747 I tried making my own using hobby filler. It isn't easy. The main problem that I found was that if the "bag" was the slightest bit loose or too tight, or of the wrong shape (i.e. a stocking toe), then they didn't sit or look right. A push-up bra did help a little for loose filler.

I just had a thought! My most recent set of forms come in a washable cover. If I could find a way of filling them, they just might work at giving and maybe keeping the right shape!

@harriette

When I first started, I used condoms filled with water (condoms are much stronger than balloons) and they worked quite well. There was always the possibilty of bursting and I would never have gone out with them even if I had been going out at the time. They had limited life though because after a very short time, things would start to grow in the water. A little bleach would have sorted that but at what cost to the fabric of the condom?

Once I started in earnest then breast forms were quickly purchased, along with a bra that would hold them even if I bent over -- nothing worse than an unfettered boob bouncing down the road!

@rebeccabaxter Right, that's why I tried hobby filler first. Water is one thing, but hobby filler has good weight and is still free-form, so it feels softer than any silicone that I have.

@rebeccabaxter I was just thinking that I have one teardrop pair of forms that are a lot flatter than some perky forms. They are slightly longer than most of my forms. I will have to assess their profile while wearing them again, to see how they look.

I started out with breast enhancers.  I bought them off ebay, and was given a choice between regular and large.  I picked the large.  At that time, this would have been my first foray into silicone breasts, so I didn't know the difference between enhancers and forms.

Yes, these enhancers were budget friendly.  I used them for the longest time as that was all I could afford.  Looking back, these enhancers looked more like a girl reaching puberty and did not have the bounce like forms. I s

Next I splurged a little more for forms from aliexpress.  They were advertised as C cup.  I bought them and ditched the enhancers.  They did the job but wasn't very realistic looking at all.  Again looking back my bra band size and these forms meant they were mismatched in sizing.

Eventually I saved and went all in for proper sized forms (gold seal) based off of my bra band size.   I've not weighed them but they are way heavier than the enhancer and my first form.  However, they look way more realistic, have a nice bounce to them, but cost way more.  Was it worth it ?  Yes.  Since my first real forms were a C cup, I saved and bought another pair of gold seals but B cup.  Very happy with the product; despite the cost it was well worth the price of admission.

I am another happy customer of The Breast Form Store and I have 2 sets of breast forms, size 38C  that I purchased from them. They are Gold Seal Classics, #1 & #1 1/2. They were a little pricey but well worth it in my opinion. I am very happy with them. The previous pair of Gold Seals I had lasted me almost 10 years.

Both of the forms are asymmetrical, and come in left and right shapes. Although I did not weigh them, they both feel the same weight to me.

Their website offers a wide variety of forms and you can compare the characteristics of each form they have to offer. It really helps in your decision making process on what form to choose based on your needs.

Hugs,

Jennifer

I've owned a number of different breast forms over the years.  Most of them were inexpensive models that wore out or got purged.

My last pair was a splurge purchase from TBFS.  Aphrodite's by Divine Collection.  Very realistic appearance, weight, feel and skin tone match.  HIGHLY recommended.

My Aphrodite's got a LOT of use in four years.  Now they sit unused in my closet.  They've been replaced by real boobs.  As much as I loved the Aphrodite's, there's no comparison.  Obviously, that's a step too far for many girls.

I have a pair of Vollence that I use just for my day to day dressing. When I get dressed up or go to hang out with the girls, I use a pair of German forms that I got from the Glamour Boutique, much nicer feel and quality versus the Vollence.

When I sleep, I wear solid silicon forms that I also got at GB.

Thank you Becca for the post and for everyone who has chimed in & provided such good info.  2 weeks ago I contacted a specialist store to see if I could get a custom measurement / fitting as a CD.  They graciously invited me in to visit.  However, I ordered a couple more from Amazon after measuring myself twice.  For the 1st time ever I have one that is so comfortable I'm wearing it now.  My Bali is wonderful but the B cup does not quite project the look I want.  Time to order a C cup in the right size along with some forms.  Thanks all.

I'm "greedy"(and also worked long and hard for what I have). I have three sets. a/. I heartily endorse the comments by those lovely ladies who have the Gold Seals from BFS. They are my "go to's" when "going public". (Tho as mentioned many times this year, that aint happened and wont until '25). I think I'm on at least my second pair.est value for money on the market. Even better when I use the double sided tape and Skin Tac adhesive wipes to adhere them to my chest.

Number 2/.Amolux Diamond self adhesives. Small for the claimed C cup size, but adhere well when freshly washed. I wear these when I sleep femme most nights when

3/. My Amonea self adhesives have been washed and are safely drying in my wardrobe. (I live in  a DADT household)

Big for a C Cup but oh so lovely when I know they are "stuck firm" and I can undo my bra and have an early morning doze braless. Ever so "femme".

I also used to have a pair from Transform. But they relied on separate "sticky backs" which used to wear out. Expensive to replace, 3 lots of those and I was half way to my next pair of Gold Seals.

Happy form "sticking"

Caty

My go to place for breast forms is also The Breast Form Store, or as they now refer to themselves, BFS.  I have two sets of Gold Seals and one Amoena, the Amoena are size 7 and the Lod Seals are size 8. I prefer the Gold Seal to the Amoenas.  They feel more real in comparison and have more weight and bounce.

Hugs,

Ms. Lauren M
