When flying domestically, has anyone travelled with her silicon breast forms in their carryon baggage?  I am curious if there are any issues with carrying silicon breast forms through TSA checkpoints.  All feedback is welcome.

TSA does not have any issues with breastforms though you do need to be prepared to explain what they are if asked. When you publish my Esprit articles, you can read my story of my own experience at Dulles airport this past May. 🙂

I am sure that TSA has seen breast forms inside carry on luggage without making an issue. But if the TSA agent decides ask questions then my best advice is to fully answer the agent's questions. Otherwise you will most likely be hassled and delayed. But most likely you will not encounter any problems.

Yes always answer truthfully--unless you want to miss your flight hie explaining yourself and why you are lying to a supervisor or the police! And after all, you will likely never see them again anyway so who cares what they think?

I haven't had any experience with breast forms and TSA inspections but about 6 years ago I did travel by air while being under dressed which included an underwire bra.  My metal hip prostheses set off the metal detector so I had to be examined more closely.  The male TSA agent was very professional and I told him up front that I was wearing an underwire bra.  He could obviously feel the bra and commented that "yes, he's wearing something."  as another agent (female) was standing nearby.  Not sure if TSA has gotten stricter since then but I wouldn't hesitate to wear my underthings the next time I travel by air.

Sitting at the airport. Just went through tsa ore check and they my bag got flagged. I asked for a private check. No problem. It took 20 seconds. She opened my bag while I was there. I told her what they were and she said ok. She didn't pull them out. Just wanted to make sure. While I didn't like being stopped. It was ok.
