I was walking to town today behind a female and male couple when I noticed how they walk differently. I realised I was walking like the male so I started studying the female and how she walked. I started copying her, we were both in flat shoes. I kept my knees together as I was walking but I realised I need to swivel my hips. I did this too and although my tackle was getting squashed, I need to practice this more.
So, have you perfected the walk yet?

“...although my tackle was getting squashed...”

Read this five minutes ago and I’m still chuckling.

Hi Clara

I try not to slouch, put my shoulders back, take short steps and keep my legs together so I can feel the swish of my nylons.  I am not sure I get it right but I try.

As for the boys, they are normally well strapped up.

No slouching as Jen said, shoulders back and imagine your on a tightrope. Women take smaller strides and placing one foot in front of the other on that imaginary line will give you the hip sway you're after. 😘

Men tend to hunch and place each foot side by side on a pair of imaginary parallel lines. (Gives the junk room to move and hence your squashed tackle)

Being military I’ve only known one way to walk. I do practice my female walk but I don’t have it down yet. Practice makes perfect and it’s always nice to be girly. The tackle I hate a messy tackle box.

Same here, sweetie. Better than “junk” and slightly better than “package.”

Hi Clara,
I am also working on my walk and the tackle issue too. I am getting better at tucking but I have a issue with the walk. I am rather duck footed (toe on my right foot especially) point out so the balance is tricky, but that is true when I am just walking as a guy. But it is fun trying to walk female correctly. The hip sway is particularly fun i so love the fell of it!!
Keep on working at it and have fun!!
And welcome here it is a great place to be.
Hugs,
Leslie

Hi Lysette,  The gals who have already responded offer some good suggestions. While I haven't perfected the walk, here are a couple more suggestions.  Not only do you need to concentrate on what your legs are doing, you also have to think about your hands and arms.  Obviously don't swing your arms wildly, keep your elbows tucked into your sides, and have the palms of your hands facing slightly forwards.  Oh, and don't overexaggerate the swishing of your hips; you'll definitely attract attention. The hip swivel should be slight.  And lots of practice.  I walk twice a day any where from 30 to 60 minutes (I'm retired so lots of time).  And I usually pass.  I was housesitting for my son last summer and taking his dog for walks.  I wore a flirty skater skirt, female sneakers, and a tank top over my bralette and ran into many people along the trail. Didn't have any problems; just lots of "Hi's" and nods.  Good luck with your practice walks.  All the Best, Hugs, Krista.

I've studied how women walk for years, I have been told I can/do have a feminine walk (when I want to). I have MUCH practice in heels also.

I've noticed how a person holds their hands when they walk is very telling too, women point their hands out to the side ever so slightly whereas men point them straight down or in in a sort of fist. DO NOT point them straight out to your side... that is a BIG tell tale that you are not female and are trying too hard.

Hugs, MaryAnn

Apologies Lysette and Clara.  I confused your names when I replied.  Another day in the blond wig

From my observations, women walk in all manner of different ways.

The most elegant is the style which seems to have been trained in via books on the head, ie, the head stays perfectly balanced while the legs glide from a slight hip swing.

Women look around fairly constantly and notice things. E.g. a 6'4" cross dresser in heels... hehe!!

The women I admire always respond brightly, politely and warmly when spoken to, with a real sense of wanting to put you at your ease... which has nothing to do with walking...

Fortunately for me, some women vape, and when they vape as they walk, it's sort of incidental. Whereas with a man, you'll see this huge tank, a massive cloud of vapour (mostly the same stuff used in hospital air conditioning sanitisation systems) and a massive show of tugging at the nozzle, with women it's more like delicately sipping a particularly fine wine, by kissing the glass, with the most delicate of fruit scented mists being produced.

I use my handbag as somewhere to lightly rest one hand, while the other swings somewhat as I walk, enjoying the clicking of my heels, trying to get them to land evenly with every step for that delicious, rhythmic sound - it helps to have a tune in mind that has hints of the catwalk, although I don't advise trying that style of walking in a crowded street unless you really don't care what people think!

A skirt or dress with sensible, girly, cotton underwear helps avoid trapping, fallout and all the other issues that beset those of us who can't be bothered to gaffer tape it all in.

95% cotton, 5% elastane, and one size smaller than you'd normally take does the trick.

And they're very comfortable to walk in, and seem to act as encouragement to walking girly. Could be just me, of course...

Love

Laura

As I come from the North of England we call them many things, like wedding tackle or meat and two veg. I just call mine useless as they stopped working a while ago and are shrinking

Thank you all for your replies. I can see there is a lot to being feminine than just walking. I also noticed men walk they swing their arms back and too whereas ladies swing their arms diagonally across their front to side.
No one knows about me crossdressing so I have to practice when I’m out of the house. I wasn’t bothered about anyone watching me practice my walking but I’ve never been out dressed up
